*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

am I the only one who thinks they should have really done something better with the camera specs? Also I hope that pic on page two is not the N97 , d-pad on the left and the space bar on the right ?

we respect your opinion but don't hold anyone against theirs..

Who knows if the one you tried is a proto one.. You think they would actually open a retail/production version one for people to demo.

Especially when the engine design is brand new... sometimes they don't find out about that rod/piston problem until they've seen a few thousand miles... :wow:

And then there's engine designs that are 10 years old that have a gigantic aftermarket and list of tips and tricks compared to the new hotness just came out. :bulging:

I've never been a fan of leather cases so I usually leave my devices naked in my pocket with screen protectors/bestskinsever. I don't like bulking up a phone more than it already is or covering up the design of the phone which is something you're paying for. My N95 was about as thick of a phone could be and still be comfortable in my jean pockets so adding more bulk to that would've made it bad.

I don't use belt pouches either because I don't like the feeling they have but I understand why they are a necessity for some.

I think it was pouring rain on the day when they first release E75 too. I am definitely going after 11. I hope it does what Nokia said on the paper...

^thanks i don't know why i couldn't find it :P
does anyone know how to use media monkey to sync the playlists to your phone? i used mass storage to sync but it didn't sync my playlists :(

We said that last year. This was supposed to be the device that would allow us to forgive then for being a year late. Now it is a year late and it is an outdated POS also.

Nokia is a high end phone, if you think Big Mac is a high end burger.

couldnt have said it better myself. thank you.

also, i really dont care what the cpu/ram specs are; as long as it runs smoothly without hiccups; and nobody knows at this point, even though it looks real smooth according to the videos. Coming from windows mobile, where many of the phones look amazing on paper, yet they run slow and laggy; i've come to realize it's not only about specs; it's about the software, etc. Once production versions make it into our hands, then the real discussion can happen. these past 300+ pages are just speculation/random chatting/crap spewed from idiots mouths/and annoying signatures

@finaldecison

Oh so i see so i didn't actually say that after all then did i? you just made that up as it sounded good for your weak argument.

Marc

this video is pretty cool showing how easy it will be to make your own widget. and it also answers anyone who questions nokia's application delivery method, i.e. controlling like apple. because they clearly indicate that you can use the ovi store OR whatever other distribution method you wish. so we arent locked down with nokia only.

Look on the bright side. If the N97 comes out and costs $500 retail, you still are in good shape because you got it for $454.35 which is STILL LESS than $500. You still saved $46. :2thumbs:

You are trying to judge the character of a newborn baby. It is a pre production version and the final version is going to be finetuned. This is the same thing I heard about the 5800 until Mobile Burn came up with that awesome video review. So don't be so harsh on it.
