Let me clear up what I'm trying to say..

The colors on the N85 are nicer to look at because of the OLED screen.

The resolution on the N97 is actually better..

I'm not saying the screen on the N97 is not good.. In my opinion I think the OLED on the N85 makes the colors vibrant.

Could have wished an OLED screen on the N97..
 
Sony Ericsson phones are not as good quality like the Nokia phones. The only reason why Sony appears in the James Bond movies is because of all the marketing that they do. Most of the Sony Ericsson phones have tendencies to freeze up and they also have bad signal and call quality. Nokia is much better.
 
Now THIS is what I call an illuminated keyboard!!! I hate the fact I have difficulty noticing the illumination on the real N97 videos... make me wonder if it will really be helpful in the dark
 
Didn't occur to me until I posted them :lol: I apologize for picking that picture but this thing is slowwwwwww and I didn't want to have to go through the hassle of uploading another picture and having to select it and take pictures again.

I agree with the Palm v. Nokia sentiments above. The N97 will be an expensive experiment, and relies on the Symbian Foundation having its stuff together, and Nokia (Ovi) having their stuff more than together.

I received a 5800XM this weekend. After putting in front of two visually disabled freinds, one S40 user, and an iPod Touch lover and ALL of them liking it, the N97 just might be a bit more of a market buster than many of us realize.
 
Whatever internet you have on your other nokia unlocked phone should work.

i prefer the black one just because like what you said the white can tend to get dirty too fast.
 
A lot of what the 5800/N97 shows is just not enough follow through with the action-process. Some of you remark about searching for a contact then communicating with them. I too wish it were better, and aside from the first page where when you type you get two pages of letters (I have over 1100 contacts), its not bad and works ok (not fast enough).

The mishmash of the Contacts and Shortcuts homescreens on the 5800 disturbs me; as does the idea of not having inertial scrolling throughout the OS.

But there's one thing that does seem about correct: Nokia's developers are very much spread out and how they implement code dumps into production products needs work. Especially for devices like the N97 (pre-annuncement and fanfare) and the 5800 (many eyes, many sales), these minor quibbles do need to be addressed.

That being said, the 5800 has an appeal to it that I don't understand completly. I like it a lot more than I should. Maybe its because it fights my N95-3 for pocket time and I don't know better (from Nokia). Sucks that things are that way.
