Why wouldn't we? When it passes it should be on the FCC site. I realize there's some delay between passing compliance and the data available on the site, but it should be available before we see it in the stores.
 
The space bar doesn't bother me at all. They couldn't fit 4 rows of keys so they made the best possible compromise as possible. The worst thing they could have done wetle be to put it in the middle of the bottom row and split up the letters. That would be a horrible solution which makes no sense.
 
Yes, sorry for the late response, but the chat associate confirmed to me that NokiaUSA.com will only have the NAM version of the N97 :)
So good news for you americans...
 
It's already hard enough to get Nokia to follow through with what they DO say, much less what they don't. They've said from the beginning that FP1 and FP2 would not be available as an update to older phones and no one has been able to figure it out. Unless Nokia says it's possible and we see some evidence of them actively working towards it, it's not going to happen.

They even said the newer browser in FP1 would be available to older devices as a sis installer, but we never saw that. That was years ago now.

And the 3GS probably has a new processor but that "2x faster" is a joke. I doubt it'll really be that much faster in use. If they had more ram they would be flaunting it so no go there, and the battery life is exactly the same on 3G.

Horrible upgrade.

Decent for someone who wants to get an iPhone now, as it is slowly closing in on N-series media (if the camera lens isn't good quality i'll take this statement back) but I really wonder what compels a person who wants to upgrade from their 3G in this phone to buy something that looks 100% identical to their previous phone and does 2 more tricks.
 
Wow, some of you guys are REALLY hard to please. Why not play with the device first before tearing down it's keyboard and camera? I think Nokia did a great job and will be first in line to get one of these.
 
Do you really think that the N97 will come out in August? I would think that at the "worst possible scenario" it will come out no later than the end of July.
What do you think??
 
I know for a fact that the grey one was available first because I had been checking it for a friend. Did you get yours unlocked?

All we can do is hope I guess! You do have a point that the press pictures were of the white one but more and more at the demos and conventions I see the black phones being demoed, so I wonder if that means anything.
 
The ROM's off XDA Devs (If the proper ones are used) are in most cases more stable than HTC's own ROM's and are extremely flexible.

I'm probably never going back to WM till WM7 comes out, but the customization options on it blew my mind away.
