Outshone by what again? How much faster do you think the OmniaHD is going to be? Do you imagine me besotten with out of memory errors and trudging along while you blaze by? Will you be a full second or half second faster to that web page than me? Will it change your calculation if real world tests show that to be less than 0.1s difference?
You've already indicated that your pictures may not be any better than mine.... though they can be bigger (if you're going to be doing prints bigger than 11x14) and be able to take them when someone smiles instead of when I press the button. Your screen may be a bit more vibrant... you may see some battery savings.... FWIW, Nokia is claiming 2 more hours of standby but 30 min less in talk time...
I have near 100GB of music and video right now. I could handbrake up a few more of my DVDs and easily push that. I do a whole movie in slightly less than 1 GB. 24GB of music is how many thousand songs that I don't have to carry my iPod classic for? If i want to carry a movie or two, some of my favorite music and still expect to take some full res pictures, you can certainly appreciate how valuable that extra storage is to me, even if it doesn't apply to you, right?
Obviously not or I'd order an OmniaHD wouldn't I? I can afford it, but am choosing the features that I think will be worth more to me. As you did.
The keyboard is the only deal breaker I would need for my decision. The 3G band is runner up while the extra storage is icing on the cake.
EDIT:
Ah wait, that's the subjective thing, huh? Obviously nokia is spending more for 4x storage. Less on 1/2 RAM. Less on the CPU. Less on the screen? isn't one of the benefits of AMOLED that it's cheaper? More on the keyboard. Less on the camera module. Less on video processing. Similar or the same on most of the basic functionality. More on a separate NAM model.
Software? Who knows how much Nokia spent on widgets and how much it cost Samsung to bring in some third party camera software? What else?
