*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

The phone is going to be so solid that it won't even need firmware updates [/sarcasm]

I'm pretty numb to it as well however, I am pleased that the gap between updates for the E71-1 and the E71-2 have been no longer than 2 weeks or so.

People are saving up bucks to buy the phone after 2-3 months and waiting for a little price drop and you have already ordered two of them. :wow: I can easily trace you down via your IP address and rob you!! :hehehe: or wait outside your house on day of delivery and... LMAO

Nokia N97 price ?599 (or about $790):

Yea, I believe there are many options you can put on there. In his keynote, he mentioned sports scores, weather, email, contacts (like the tube has), etc. I'm sure there are a lot of things, but he was making it a facebook/myspace since that's all you seem to hear from BB and iPhone type people.

While there has been no official announcement on the NAM version of the N97, lots of speculation says it's coming. And history shows that the N-series devices eventually get a NAM version, although the firmware support is usually lacking.

I'm 30 and still play games (PS3/360/Wii/PSP/DS). So for my cellphone, gaming is a must.

I'm sure when I'm like 50, 60, 70, or 80, or 90 years old I'll still be playing games and will look into devices that offer gaming feature.

i dont think i want my n97 on a carrier and having it locked like the n75 on at&t was with their software. i just want tmo 3g and thats it i can pay 600 or 700

I'm guessing you've never heard of disk partitions. More than likely, they've just tossed a controller and 32GB of flash memory in and it's also physically separate than the ROM/NAND/EEPROM/whatever you want to call it.

Which headset? I actually replaced my jawbone with the BH-703 that came from Nokia USA. Having the same charger all supplied in the same box has made both very convenient, even if the 703 isn't as loud as I would have hoped.

I agree...by the time it's out, there will be a lot of new phones that may just make this phone look like last year's news. 4-6 months is a long time in Technology calendar.

The UI looks so good right now that I don't understand why they will wait this long?
