Give you one example. I use the E61i right now. During the workday I like having my Outlool/M4E email box displayed right there on my home screen - it saves me time.

But after work, the LAST thing I need is my work emails reminding me on my home screen. I would rather have nothng there or a fun wall paper or my SMS inbox, or my gmail inbox.

Similarly, during workday I might want a dictionary, a calculator, QuickOffice etc on my standby aps. After work, I want intead to have my standby apps be music player, video., weather, Fring etc.

Make sense?

Well....I still use my Ipod Touch for music, but my Nokia E71 will be used partly for that.

I never can watch a full movie on such a tiny screen...even when I had my Archos I found it hard.

Windows Live for S60 will set up a Windows Live mailbox that will sync your hotmail account with your phone.

if they are actually available. But you are right, a quick search would answer that question about 20 times. Its almost as frustrating as people in the BB forum asking if they dont get a BB dataplan can they get email pushed to them.

Actually, does anyone know if Nokia has a standard for its screen's aspect ratio? I believe all the above size is for the diagonal dimension. The E90 outer might be the 2.4", but the inner screen's aspect ratio is definitely different from a "standard" screen.

True, but those are little variations/extentions to the existing models(E61, N95), it won't/didn't take much time for them to release & also it didn't cost them much. Where as, N71 is all new phone. They want to market first to boost sales on this model. May be I am wrong, you never know with Nokia!

The e66 has that feature, not the e71. I use the handy shell that allows an active standby of sorts , not the oem, but almost the same, better imo. Trial it. I love it and have it on all my phones

When I look at demos of N78 Navi wheel it doesn't seem to work that well....personally rather just keep it simple and have the E51 Navi Key.....or at least until they fix it.
