*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

That leaves the 3% as the segment of users like us who don't mind paying the hugely inflated retail prices for Nokia (and other manufacturers) phones...instead of using the rebates and carrier subsidies to get them at a fair price.

* NO. Good Messaging, Good Technologies uses the same code as RIM does for BES. The code obviously is different to work with S60, UIQ, Windows Mobile (Standard & Pro) devices, but the "type" of push/sync is the same. BOTH are licensed from NTP. Remember that 2Qtr long battle of RIM vs NTP; while NTP was making licensing agreements ($$$) with Good Technologies & other companies? Probably didn't recall its already a year ago.

* The Nokia E90 on BES has the ability to Recieve PINs just not send/reply.
* Hopefully this will hold true on the E71. Both will require BBConnect ... unsure if E90's BBConnect will work on the E71 ... you MUST TEST if it'll install!!!!!

You keep saying Moto ... is that the company you work for?!? Because Good Technologies makes the product & Service you're trying to get working, not Motorola. IF you got it from Moto, therein lies your issue getting the app working.

Check here: http://www.good.com/corp/index.php

Hope this helps.

I think Apple has a great consumer product, no question about it, and "missing functionality" may not be important to their target market. Apple is a smart company, they know what is critical in their target market. I have said this many times on HoFo, I really dont see Apple taking much markeet share from RIM when it comes to the corporate world or government.

I think the iPhone is more competition to the N series than the E series.

I'm trying to learn it (I like using new things) and I find it to be pretty useful and accurate, and I use it to complete big words, the small ones I end up typing on the QWERTY anyway. It's definitely improved my typing speed.

with all the discussion about the different bands, i have no pity for anyone still confused by which version supports ATT 3G. to all: only buy the e71-2 if you are on ATT or in north america!! dont try and get away with australian 850/2100 version. nokia finally threw us a bone, so go with it.

that boygenius video seemed to know what was up, and he quoted in the video saying "next month announcement, with release shortly after." that was end of may, so i'm expecting the e71 to be announced this month. that is assuming he knew something or had inside knowledge. at this point, with all these shops and blogs reviewing the phone, its coming right around the corner. no doubt. sept release just doesnt make sense.

This was a pet peave of mine as well on the E90. BTW, the reversed soft keys happen on some java apps., or at least used to on the E90 when switching from the outside screen to the inside screen.
