*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

I dont hold onto more than one good phone and one backup phone, so yea Im done with the n95 for the e71 til something else good that I like comes out in six months and then the cycle will repeat itself :)

I just saw this on intomobile, and I must say Nokia is contnuing to churn out great devices. This device may be pretty close to perfect if it has a 3.5mm jack and US 3G! Finally: a pocketable, full qwerty device from Nokia -

Ok Just got my unit delivered via FedEx. It's still charging as I type. The very first thing I did was to back up the microSD. I always want to have the contents of the microSD intact in its original state - in case it gets corrupted. I will try to play with it later :)

- Unit is Made in Korea
- APAC-S Version (English, Malay, Pilipino)
- Came with evrything mentioned in the Nokia site. (2gb microSD, though I got a Sandisk 8gb microSDH and all the files from the original microSD copied to it.)
- No foreign characters on the keys.
- With 1 year Nokia warranty.

Edit:
- I can confirm that the smart dialing feature works on my phone :)
- Firmware version is 100.07.76

Anybody know if any North American suppliers have the E71 or E66 in stock yet? Most of the usual suspects say they've pushed it back to 7/25. :(

Or I'll take a demo model, too, and provide Nokia with feedback :D

I currently use an iPhone to access my business emails and had previously used a Windows Mobile device. I'm thinking about dumping the iPhone for an E71 but have some questions about the mail for exchange implementation.

From what I've read, it seems that the Nokia app will sync emails, calendar and contacts with the exchange server(seem to remember doing this when I had an e61). The faq did mention that it is not compatible with certificate authentication. I know that for my Win Mobile phone I had to install a certificate in order to be able to sync with my office exchange (2007) server.

Does this mean that the E71 with mail for exchange will NOT be able to sync with Exchange?

I've got the E71-1 on T-Mobile and I have no RF issues at all. Excellent phone in all respects, and Nokia has retained that legendary E-series build quality.

so far Im going to have to agree, my signal strength doesnt seem to be as strong as its been when I was on the N95 8gb and definitely as strong as the N82 which has been the best for me by far. Its very erratic, up and down.
