*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

I use 2 different BT headphones over A2DP and I have only ever encountered the stuttering once and it was on both. I removed them from the E71, reset them and re-paired. Hasn't done it since.

Unfortunately, Apple's iPhone has some things that Nokia phones do not.

1: Bubble-headed celebrities carrying around free samples
2: Stupid commercials that lie
3: AT&T putting on launch events at stores

In other words...

4: A MARKETING DEPARTMENT!!

I am totally with your analysis stated above. The I-phone is a retail consumer phone not a true business communication device. The E-series is a true business device with much capability and a customer will pay for this capability based upon their needs.

I'm going to be receiving my new e71-2 in a few days and will check the f/w. I was wondering what the concensus was as far as the latest upgrade to 200.xx.xx. I upgraded my E66 and found speed improvements and over all stability improvements plus better battery life. I've heard numerous complaints with the E71's latest fw upgrades. Would like to get a few opinions. Thanks.

earpiece volume is for once terrific! I hate low volume on US calls, they are traditionally not loud, on the E71, for the first time ever, I had to LOWER the volume to make the call more comfortable.

this thing looks damn good! i'm really liking the white version. i really love the nokia n82 but the e71 would serve as a great "day" phone. wish i had that kinda money to throw around lol.

i'm getting a trial e71 hopefully by the end of this week so i'll have lots of comparison pictures next to a few other qwerty phones including the BB pearl, curve, and e61. i'm also going to put this puppy through an exhausting battery test.

ah i see thank for the info, as you can see i'm a s60 noob. the last s60 phone i used was a nokia 6600 (that was a great phone!). Anyways if there are any e71 owners that can upload their contents of their microsd card somewhere and PM it to me I would greatly appreciate it.

i think that homescreen is just a superimposed pretend rendering, not the real thing. the real picture in the other thread clearly shows the regular standard s60 homescreen.

BEST sentence I've read all day! I'm with you on this. Although I don't like the N95's perceptable bulkiness its 3G HSDPA is undeniable, however I may just say screw the lack of US 3G and go for the black N82. However, with my luck Nokia will officially announce the E71 just after my N82 arrives so I'm waiting another 2mths TOPS!

They're bastards when it comes to pre-orders. If they feel that the pre-order price isn't enough, they'll cancel the pre-order. Once they have, after a couple of weeks they'll reintroduce the item at a higher price. I guess they can't directly increase the pre-order price.
