*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

I was just going to say that, I hate crackberries, but I just had to setup our BES information on my bosses new 8110 and that even has a 3.5mm jack. My fiancees N76 has a 3.5mm jack and I love it, it almost makes me want to get an N-Series phone... but so man E-Series things I would miss.

Well it was said before that E71 will have back ported features from fp2 and seems they where right. That device looks indeed sexy... but could they announce it already!

Yeah...I've never liked S60 calendar, but I have been using Handy Calendar on my S60 phones lately and it's really good software....so I'm not too concerned as long as the E71 supports it.

LOL! It is not fair for the new owner you know ;) PLUS I need the SIM back in BJII to get my emails working! I know it is a hard decision :crying:

Now BJII feels much cheaper after I swapped the SIM

Yes you can. The main thing wrong with my E71-2 is the purple tint in the pictures. We all know now that is a software issue as it is cleared up in newer firmware updates. Unfortunately, my version of the phone doesn't have the update, yet.

There have been reviews of the E72 posted. It's easy to see that the camera is greatly improved. No, I'm not looking for something as nice as the N82. I would just like to be able to take a picture and have it be worth the effort. Can't always count on that with my phone as it is now.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check 'em out. Like I said, I am all for hands-free while driving...and BT works great there. That would be the only time I would ever wear a BT headset/headphones.

Just got an e-mail from ShopBLT.com that my pre-ordered E71 Gray NAM shipped today :clapping:. The website still shows an ETA of July 30, but it's already in the hands of FedEx. At USD415.80, it's a pretty good deal.

I hear ya, but you're talking to a guy coming from a first generation RAZR. If this thing took pictures like the N-95 I honestly can't think of many ways to improve it.

I have small hands so typing is a breeze. Locating and dialing contacts is as easy as I've ever seen it. I like the push e-mail but I prefer the Gmail app for Archiving purposes, etc. The 2.5mm headphone jack is weak but you can get an adapter for $4...

Have had this phone for a couple weeks now and it was amazing. Coming from N series phones, the quality of the materials and build quality are amazing.

One quick question, I have an unlocked model, but I can't access youtube.com through the s60 browser. Whenever I try it, a Rogers webpage shows up (i am on rogers) even though this is an unlocked unit.....anyone run into this before?

Has anyone tried to install/use any of the BB Connect's that work on other Nokia's (E50, E61i, E90, etc.)? Is there confirmation they're a no-go on the E71?
