*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

the only thing about the E71 is the qwerty again... i dont have a problem learning qwerty again, it just took me about 3 to 4 days to get used to it, the problem is going back to the standard keypad...

when i sold my E61, i had qwerty withdrawals, it lasted for weeks! i got the chills, the shivers, i keep holding my phones with 2 hands and my thumbs were fidgety, i was sweating a lot!

Wives really don't understand when you forget that you forgot your anniversary. Fortunately for me, a sparkly new E71 and Blackberry BOLD can make it so I don't care that I forgot that I forgot!!!!

Yeah....I know. I'm pretty impatient since getting rid of all my S60's and waiting for this phone :) I just wish Nokia would leak a few more solid specs. The picture has been leaked for awhile and seems like it's never coming....Maybe we were all duped :D

I am trying to convince myself to drop my BlackBerry 8820, abort further thought on the Bold, and get this device.

Are text messages on this device shown threaded?

Thanks.

Nokia has decided that it's not worth it to them to release any new qwerty E series phones.. Instead they've decided to put all their energy into the hiring of a cross-eyed idiot who will lead the N series on to even greater masterpieces of ugly, er, glory I mean, starting with the N96!

Those poor E series workers will have to simply sit sadly, at the back of the Nokia auditorium, watching as bizarro world takes over, and the N78 and its fugly cousin the Prizm win 'design of the year' awards.

And of course after the banquet the internet tablet guys are relegated to janitorial duty, but that's too be expected, I mean, c'mon, no one even knows those guys actually work at Nokia anyway (office rumor says that OPK won them in a poker game at Motorola headquarters, not that they are actually developing anything).

Yeah, really needing an E series fix right now!

I was really just wondering if anyone had read anything that suggested that the E71 would support BlackBerry Connect. I haven't seen anything that mentions it but often the readers of this forum are better read and better informed than I am.

The reason I asked the question is that if I knew it would not support BlackBerry Connect, I would not be inclined to wait for its release and might jump to the BlackBerry Bold when it is released.

If the question was ridiculous I apoligize for asking it.

Hi, guys... I havn't look into this phone and know nothing about it,

I have a question, does anyone know if there will be a T-mobile 3G version of this phone?

& does anyone know the release date of this phone...

Thanks

wow, awesome thanks for the fast reply,

What color would you guys recommend?
would the keyboard of the white E71 gets dirty/faded(darken) overtime?

also is there any known hardware issue w/ the E71?

I've pre-ordered from them in the past and their dates did not slip out. If I recall correctly they actually improved a bit as it got closer.

the e71-1 only has 900/2100mhz 3g thus it wont ever operate on 3g in the states. The e71-2 or the -3 both have 850mhz 3g and would work in the states (the -2 in more places than the -3 of course)

Just a possible word of warning, if you read the actual legal jargon/terms of the cashback offer, it clearly states that you have be a resident of the United States.

I'm not sure if or how that affects the money being credited but just a word of advice.
