I think people here that's comparing the iPhone 2.0 to the E71 are talking out the hype/popularity..

If you guys think the iPhone 2.0 is trying to compete with the E71, guess what Apple is barking on a wrong tree.

Comparing both iPhone and the E71 is like comparing a Bus to a car..

iPhone can be compared to the LG Viewty, HTC Diamond, and soon to launch Nokia Tube.

E71 can be compared to BB, Treo, HTC, and all bunch of business qwerty.
 
well thats weird, after wondering how to get the screen to light up now I cant even get the preview or pop up on the home screen anymore. All I get is the little email icon in the top right. Im staring at the option to make sure it shows up under my shortcuts and still it wont show up. Ah!!!!
 
Nokia likes to use metal on its E-series, and I'm hoping the chrome on the sides is metal and not plastic, which the Bold has.

I'm really digging this device!
 
Well...I think SE will turn things around...The new UIQ 3.3 looks very interesting and I think it's right that they have a huge following...when I'm in Europe I see a lot of people carrying SE phones....I believe this year they will have a good year as they seem really focused on bringing new and improved products.

Remember they bought most of the share of UIQ and have now full control of developing the OS. Before I think UIQ was left in the dumpers so Nokia can develop S60.
 
Reminds me kind of like the T-Mobile Dash....I didn't like how they used the real estate of the device...same with moto Q...seems like the device is bigger and screen used less space than keypad. Hoping it's just an angle thing. When I look at my BB...it seems the screen and keyboard use about equal amount of space....hope this is the case for E71.
 
i think you might be talking about a certain screensaver. when the phone is locked, and the screen goes black, let the phone sit for about 1 minute without touching any buttons. then press and hold any of the Dpad buttons. this lights up the screen with the time, date and any missed event indicators. i use this all the time as a clock.

if this is not what you meant, then i dunno.
 
No different than how BBs are price. Ive always thought BB have been price quite a bit cheaper than other smartphones, especially Nokias, since BB business model allows them to recoup revenue from the monthly BB dataplan.
 
Is there a way to get a shortcut or one-key keypad lock? I would love to have the right soft-key do this, but there isn't an option for it in settings.

Also, is there a program that will auto-lock the keypad even when the phone is in a third-party program?
 
I store all my albums (65 albums/822 songs encoded .acc @ 64kbs) in the Sound, Digital folder on my memory card. Once I have refreshed the music library the music player doesn't rebuild the database again when I open it. I've been doing it this way since owning an N73 (worked the same for E65 & E90).
 
I'm not using an E71 (yet) so pardon my ignorance, but a quick glance at various reviews etc doesn't seem to indicate that Profimail supports Exchange Push. Do you have to have M4E running into addition to Profimail???
