Hello-

I have had a Nokia e61i and used exchange with it but the issue I had was that when I would send an email from my nokia it would not sync and show up in my sent items on my desktop-
Because of this issue, I had to use a WM6 phone (not my fav- but does the trick)
Does the new e71 have the ability to sync the sent items??

Thx
in advance

I think that info was posted on BGR as well but it was regarding the rumored N series qwerty. If it's true for both we'll have some happy campers out there.

I second what Tkao said, my curve felt very cheap/plasticky (loved the keypad, but hated the clicky sound it made). I've never used any of the 88xx series (which I heard are better built than curves) but the E51 I used, alongwith the E90 were solidly built, and well, the E90 was just a tank.

I'm hoping E71 lives upto the expectations in terms of the build quality however.

And regarding me using MFE, well I find syncing contacts/calendar and email is a whole lot better than just Email via BB-Connect. I'm not going to be able to afford my own BES so I really have no reason to use BB at the moment, however, OS 4.5 has added some nice, much needed improvements (HTML email, vid recording, Docs2go etc) and I'm really liking the Bold. I knw my carrier will launch the Bold almost immediately after AT&T, but they are rumoured to be testing the E71 as well, which gives me a big smile :D

I went over the settings multiple times because I was eager to resolve the issue. I followed the instructions on gmail.com to the letter. I use the automatic setup and it was set up using the IMAP access. I set up my emails both manually and automatically and still have the same issues with the emails not deleting from the phone unless I delete it twice...which still isn't even a guarantee that it will delete. Very very odd.

at first glance it seems a tad slower than the N78, but not by much...the OS is actually much quicker than some of the s40 phones I've played with.

I'll be able to get deeper into the OS as time goes by and will give my 2 cents.
