*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

@rapolu - I never used qwerty on a phone and am strictly a one-handed user. Is typing with one hand on this phone practical, or is there too much reach for the thumb on some keys?

Hell YES! I used it daily for 3mths at my old work. Many ppl loved checking out my E71 even those that used the S60 before on N95 and they'd love to check out the main screen. Gettin love emails from the wife or provider emails stating bill is ready with a link to the site (saved pw); was enough reason for me to have profile switcher in use. Work notifications, Emails not listed, Calendar/Reminders etc related to work (GPS not listed ;) - security was mad tight). My surpervisor used my phone once because Rogers forgot to properly provision his new Bold - so while I fixed it he made his call. He really was surprised how easy it was to dial with his large hands and loved that my phone had just about every hardware feature his phone could do.

I HOPE Nokia updates Profile Switcher to be further enhanced with appointments/Time/Day of Week to allow for user to set AutoSwitch! ;)

doesnt your e71 come with worldmate? i have had the e71-1 and now have the e71-2 and both came with worldmate which has a decent weather app. you can also download the weatherbug widget for free and make it one of your shortcuts

Been trying to stay away from here......bought too many phones and still haven't found the perfect one

Just been busy, but now I'm back on the N82 for awhile and really enjoying the camera.

Well Nokia generally has a better Media player and general multimedia prowess compared to other business minded phones, such as HTC's or Blackberries. The Curve had a decent player, but still not up to par of Nokia's, but the E71's cam is probably comparable in some shots in low light conditions to the Curve.

I'm not in Miami anymore (beautiful city) but still in USA, which is why I'm still catching up on threads. So far, still no E71 owners in this thread as yet?

Wirelessly posted (Nokia N95-3: Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.2; U; Series60/3.1 NokiaN95-3/11.2.009; Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 ) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413)

this thread has derailed

I'm on the other spectrum here. I don't need the BES for my personal email, contacts, web site links, notes, calendar; the basics. Unless my new job requires me, again, to have a BlackBerry, then as a personal device the E71 will be more suited to my needs/usage. However the Bold is capable of doing anything the E71 can do as well So I'm in a rock-&-a-hard-place.

For now, the E71 has much more consumer applications that I can use. I like to get work done, but I also like to have fun doing it, or in between.

Curiousity has begged me to ask this question. Does the S60 phones sync (via PC Suite) MS Outlook Notes FULLY or is the maximum length of any note limited? I cannot carry my MS Outlook Notes on my K850i so i need to know this. The BlackBerry's can and I loved this.
