*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

If you're used to t9, I can see how the keyboard would not seem good. A week or two's use will get you reasonably proficient. :)

When I first unboxed the phone, I wondered what I'd gotten myself into. It is smaller than I'd imagined. Ridiculously small compared to my E62. Turns out, I can type on it very well. The keys are shaped perfectly for making typing easy, if you're used to a thumb board. I wish the N810 had this quality of a keyboard.

My keyboard doesn't move, but I don't press hard when I type.
 
Is there a setting somewhere so that when you receive an email the screen lights up like a text message or phone call, etc.. Ive got my gmail as the only email notification and Ive got it so its the header and pop up but all I get is the blinking notification light and the vibration. Why doesnt the screen light up upon email receipt?
 
anyone who is having trouble with youtube, might as well just imstall emtube since its way better than the full youtube site anyway, much faster and better quality (somehow)...then when youtube is back to normal try the browser again. its not working on my n95-4 either.
 
Im not scared of that but hopefully Nokia takes notice and keeps their guard up. I think Moto got stuck a little too happy with its place and look at them now. And if it drives out newer and better phones thats a good thing! E71 maybe? Nokia?
 
Bluetooth handsfree profile is working perfect with my '08 BMW 5 series! No disconnect issues like with other FP1 devices N95-x/N82/E90 :eek: I am also excited to report that the contacts are syncing fine with my car! :clapping: It never did with other FP1 phones. Good job Nokia for fixing these issues! :2thumbs: With E71 release, Nokia earned my respect!! :hehehe:
 
1: N95 8GB is bit better than E71. But E71 volume is louder than N95.

3. E71 doesn't play high resolution vidoes. Youtube plays just fine.

Hello,
I'm having trouble with my E71x which is unlocked from at&t.

I can't get Garmin XT to lock on through GPS, does anyone have this issue as well?
Is the installation process different from regular E71?

This is the primary reason why I went with this phone, I like the black better so I decided to go with the x model... was it a mistake? is Garmin XT useless without data plan on the phone?
 
This made me chuckle a bit.

Since all these new qwerty's have the same powerful stats; now it all comes to:

*Design (physical, asthetics, feel in the hand)
*GUI speed & efficiency for business users.
*Features - not just for business users, actually more so for the Power Consumer.
*Ease of use based on OS.
