*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

I say realaudio/video (ra, rm, ram), now SE phone has problem with
and there's Nokia Internet radio which supports Shoutcast (streaming mp3, aac)
only S60 supports both, don't know Android though

...but with smaller fonts. You can enlarge them to make them just as readable as the N95 fonts, but at the cost of less information on a single screen, hence more scrolling.

That's what I do when I'm driving in the US, as I'm roaming. Haven't seen any big usage but you gotta make sure that network positioning is off and that your maps application doesn't go online for something else (like traffic or other updates). It is easy to see on Nokias the actual usage by looking at the "packet data" log, but I haven't driven anywhere for more than 30mins since I got back to s60 a couple of wks ago (and usually just use the in-car nav system), i.e. can't really say for certain how many requests it could do on a longer trip.

You can't import your bookmarks from Opera Mobile into Opera Mini. You might be able to sync Opera Mobile with your My Opera page and then you can use Opera Mini and sync. I don't know if this works from MobileMini but whenever I get a new device I can restore my Mini bookmarks doing this.

Does anybody has an idea on how to set the email notification the same way as you get notification with an text message? (with the icon on the lower part of the screen)

I don`t need full qwerty. I like sliders when they're good solid ones. The screen looks a bit bigger on the 66. Haven't looked hard enough to find the spec on size if it's out there. the 71 is a tad small at 2.36 tho if I read that right. I'll be keepin' an eye out for further info.

Personally would get the Euro version because T-mo 3G won't be supported, but I'm quite worried about the resale.....therefore, I'll probably hold out for a NAM version as well, but if Plemix and X1367 were smart they would stock both versions as I'm sure they have a lot of NA customers.

Wow...very cool. Thanks, Topy. :)

Even as a BlackBerry guy...I have to admit that the E71 is a very sexy phone. I really like the shiny metal case. I am concerned about the keypad a bit...since the keys are pretty scrunched together without any spacing between.

Grrrrr...why do all these phones have to be available all at once, kind of. So many phones...so little money!!

What a dumb way to put it.....September or before....as if we did not know.....'Before' can be even tomorrow......
I would take such random revelations with a pinch of salt provided there is another rumour that E71 is going to carry FP2.[/QUOTE]

that is not a rumour at all... all the latest ones being announced are FP2...

Wirelessly posted (nokia n95-3: Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.2; U; Series60/3.1 NokiaN95_8GB-3/1.2.011 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 ) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413)

so if blackberry uses an always on data connection then i would think they would get bad battery life. Though they have always been gsm phones. Curious to see how a 3g blackberry will be with battery life.
