*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

This is one sexy phone.....to hear BGR give it that high of a rating means this thing is going to be pretty awesome....when the hell is it going to be released...what's Nokia waiting for?

Also does anyone else think the bold and this think look kind of alike? Although I think the bold is bigger?

does anyone know how to reset those tiny icons at the top of the screen that shows like outgoing messages, incoming messages, etc?

i tried to send myself an email of a video on my phone a couple days ago, but decided to end it because it was taking too long. the outgoing message logo stayed there, and its still there now. anyone know what to do?

I agree. I never really knew Nokia had higher end phones until about 6 months ago when I started looking at the NSeries and realized that it was completely different than their entry level phones. I do agree a lot of Americans look at Nokia as lower end phones because they've got tons of those around, but not a lot of s60 or s80 devices.

I think E61i is FP0. Are E90 and E51 the only E series with FP1 so far? I think the N82/N95 8GB are the latest N/E series with FP1. I believe the N78 is going to be FP2 and is the next announced N/E series to be released, so E71 should be FP2 considering the timing.

I personally haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary in terms of the phone getting hot. I just had a 30min voip call over wifi, it did get warmer, but nothing out of the ordinary (probably as much as my N95 did). And for regular calls, haven't noticed anything so far (have done only one longer call, 1hr call, and can't even recall now how warm it got).

P.S. I'm using GSM only, not 3G though.

After many hours of playing with IP addresses, I realized all you have to do is... Look on the top right of the live.com screen it will probably say Cananda, click on it and change the country to US then do a search for Nintendo Wii and you should see the cashback offer.
Good luck

Wow...nice pictures Marc. Now I'm really itching for mine to arrive. Haven't had a S60 device since my E90 like 3 months ago and I'm starting to itch to come back to S60.....like my BB, but getting a bit boring as the camera and music playback on my Curve is no match for Nokia's Multimedia implementation.

That automatically becomes a bookmark when you have a At&t sim card in the phone and have the internet settings downloaded. It's the shortcut to At&t Media Net site.
