*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

Yes. When it tells you to select an access point just select a wifi one. Wifi act the same way as data packets do.

@Phongables I use Fring. It's free, supports file transfer, and supports voice calls with skype and google talk

I started writing this on the E71 at around 1130PM last night until I started to fall asleep at 1215 in the morning.

I then woke up this morning at 930AM and resumed writing for about an hour while listening to music on the E71's music player.

There was some going back and forth as I was writing because I would be reminded of certain things about this device.

Why do you think the E71 is a competition to the iPhone 2?

You think E71 is the only Nokia phone that will be launching soon?

Haven't you thought of the Nokia Tube Touch? It is not being talked about but the launching is imminent..

Blackberry indeed has said an AWS version for T-Mobile will follow the AT&T version "very quickly". End of summer perhaps, or early fall. And me in the NYC area! Whoever gets an AWS smartphone out first gets my $$.

I am concerned about the CTRL and the CHR on the same button. Copy + pasting will be tricky

Will that mean I have to press the Fn key then CTRL + C to copy, and again Fn + CTRL + V to paste :goodness:

When I had my e71 as well as with my current 66 if you set an alarm and leave phone off it sounds at the appointed time and gives you a pop up option to turn the phone on or not. Don't know of an auto function for it.
These days with everybody doing away with landlines and going wireless I like to leave my phone on at all times. I just set a sleep profile disabling email and texts and such to allow only incoming calls for emergencies. I wouldn't ever want to leave it off completely. But thats just me.No land line.

Hi rapolu

I missed out on my last post Voice messages as well, and i really like the notification symbol in the bottom right of the screen as it just makes it so visible much better than on previous devices IMO.
