*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

My wife would disagree. She says the pouch is very practical to protect her handset when it's in her handbag .......

Just because you don't need something doesn't make it stupid!
.

Heads UP:

* Not sure if everyone already discovered this or not; but On my E71-2 in the "Downloads" app - I just noticed last night that Joiku Spot Premium was available FREE! no cost to download & install! I already had the Light version but quickly uninstalled that and downloaded successfully. :D

Hey Fried.. You probably forgot something..

Package Variant in Regions may vary..

They always include that...

APAC always get the goodies..

The Bold does look nice though......but the E71 is so much more sexy. Had the camera been better in the E71, it would be no multimedia contest, but now I'm wondering how the Bold's 2mpx camera does as I've seen some 2 mpx cam better than the E71 cam.

It all comes down to price.. Yes features do matter. But, an average "Joe" doesn't need all those packed features as in N95. Steve really going after those Joe's around the world to flood the iPhones & I beleive he will succeed.

Well said! This is why I miss my E71 so much! But its with a happy new owner whom previously had the E51. However I'm looking forward to the N97 - hoping for the same speeds in navigation, application launching, switching, or closing as the E71. The N97 will allow me to have all those that I loved in the E71 and giving me an excellent camera & video recording, and a larger screen for video watching during lunch breaks.

It's very common. And given the way everyone fawns over my E62(!), I expect they'll blow their wad when they see me with an E71. Nobody knows Nokia makes QWERTY phones. Part of the problem is that nobody here wants to pay hundreds for a phone. I think if AT&T gets it in a timely manner and doesn't cripple it too badly that'll be nothing but a good thing for Nokia and E71 sales.

People in the US don't want to spend $200 on a phone, much less $400 or $600, although I have been surprised with the number of my clients who have gotten iPhones despite their price. And none of them are particularly fond of Apple, either.

I set my N82 to the second lowest setting...i know alot of people complain about it not being too bright, but it's more than enough for me at that setting. I wonder if some N82's just have defective screens that just don't shine bright enough.

With the Nokia E71 you have several tethering options built-in, you can use USB or Bluetooth. But you can use third party wireless solutions just like on wm, Joikuspot free version or Joikuspot paid version.

I really recommend Joikuspot Premium (paid version).

Cheers!

Why are you so worried about Apple launching the iPhone and RIM launching the BOLD?

Do you have some type of stocks from Nokia, that if their market shares drop you will be crying like does guys in Wall St.
