Hey 8525, TILT, iPhone have WiFi...

I think the problem is deeper than we imagined..

In my opinion or my own research..

It seems that all the AT&T branded phones that has WiFi has changed their name to AT&T coding..

Like for example the TILT and the 8525... We all know that these phones are made by manufacturer HTC. They had to drop the name HTC and be renamed AT&T TILT or AT&T 8525.

I think they want to do the same with Nokia, which Nokia wouldn't want.. Like keep your features but drop the Nokia name..

As for the iPhone that's another story... It seems that AT&T bows down to Apple.

hmmm...silent profile works on my E71-1..but the contact on main page does not. I was hoping that the E71-1 when firmware is updated will get this function, but maybe it's left out for reason.

E71 is listed as a supported phone. Does Nokia chat work with any other IM services (AIM, Yahoo, MSN) or is it its own service similar to Blackberry Messenger?

Well, Nokia better get their corporate butts in gear then. My close friend who is a zone manager for several key AT&T retail agent locations in the St. Louis zone called me last week to tell me that a feed had just come down from AT&T corporate that said the release for the BlackBerry 9000 Bold would be the latter part of July.

Nokia would have to release the phone this month to get it established as a real alternative to the Bold...

I am a BlackBerry fan, and very happy with the product. I imagine that with the Bold having a faster processor, added memory, larger & clearer screen, 3G, WiFi and GPS onboard...many people are going to jump at the BB...even some of those who are sick of waiting for this phone, that is clearly aimed at being a BlackBerry-beater moreso than a phone that will steal any business from Apple and the new Gen-2 iPhone.

It will be the release date on these two devices that determine which one will be my next phone, pure and simple.

even if it is, as long as it works, im ok with it because it's hard to beat that price. flash memory is flash memory. metals may be diluted/contaminated more than the genuine ones, but 16GB will come out soon anyway. so it'll probably be the next upgrade when/if the (fake) SanDisk quits on me. I'll just back up the card every now and then so I won't lose much

Also, is there an auto switch on function for E71? Example I off my handphone and set the alarm. Would the mobile auto switch on? I remembered some phone allowed me to do that.
