*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

So what r u guys hypothesizing for the price? It HAS to be less than an e90 when it was first out but more than an e51.. im saying roughly $600???

As it stands right now, I can't even worry about it logging the duration of each call, I'm just trying to ensure that the call log ensures that it lists all my calls and it displays at least the right icon of the number being called.

Advanced Call Manager comes on the memory card. I've installed it but haven't had a chance to play around with it too much. It seems like a fantastic product but I don't think the key functions/features are going to provide me with much relief.

I've just realized - that there is no seperate icon for a business number either.

i have this problem i cant figure out, i got an e71-1, i left it on to charge overnight when i woke up it was only up to 3 bars of battery life and still charging? Can someone help me with this, thanks.

I'm going to Hong Kong next week and was wondering if the E71 is still available there? If so, how much on average is it selling for these days? As you can tell, I am in DESPERATE need of an upgrade (still rocking the 7370)

Thanks! :)

If I'm not mistaken, BlackBerry does use an always-on data connection. And, that's probably why the BlackBerry has always had amazing battery life, better than pretty much any other smartphone on the market...simply because they've had to.

I will thanks.....looks like I won't be getting the E71 before I leave since I"ve been calling everywhere in NYC and no one seems to have one....probably for the best anyways and will definitely be happy when I get it for less. ;)

Waiting on my E71-2 as we speak. Had sold my BB Curve 8320 after a couple of months of use. (Actually made $$ on it) I was sold on the phone after i found out all of the different apps you can use without paying for a data plan.

Death to Blackberry !!!!!!!

This is where Apple is so brilliant. They see the trends in phone sales, the economy, and look at the different pricing models, and make strategic decisions. When the iPhone was the new hotness they could easily charge a premium price and have folks banging down their doors. People gladly paid the high price Apple dictated and said thank you. Now the iPhone is still hot, but it's not brand-spanking-new, OMG, what-is-that-where's-mine? kind of hot. That initial frenzy about it has passed, and Apple recognizes that. So they do more features + lower price to keep it hot. Exactly what they did with the iPod, and we all know how that's been working for them. :clapping:

^ Yes, we all can Google them too. The issue is about those DIRECTLY HOTLINKED images specifically classified by Vodafone as "Confidential", not about those nice live picture of "another Exx" from an unknown origin. We can't control how others sites are treating those material, it's up to them. But here at HoFo, we don't want any trouble even how remote the possibility is - BECAUSE IT HAD HAPPENED HERE BEFORE! If you wanna argue, argue w/ Vodafone's lawyers.
