I do not think you're going to be able to do that. There might be some legacy infrared machines that are able to see the E71 and configure it as an analogue modem, but I think you are going to be generally out of luck.

But...why not use packet data? Even at EDGE speeds, even with a slightly increased latency, you're still going to beat dial up.

Are you trying to use the phone to dial into a server's emergency modem or something?

E71 looks to be promising especially the AF on the 3.2 Camera ... I'd like to see how it goes against the Bold in pics & video quality & sound quality of the video.

For once the width of the E71 seems to be perfect .... a great competitor to the Curve in the Bold's specs. Me I'll go with the Bold for now ... wondering how BB Connect will work on the E71 ... will it get the extended features like the E90 does over other BBConnect devices?!!

Unfortunately......I think Nokia will be coming into this party a little too late. With the updated 4.6 OS of BB, the layout of web and contacts look a lot better than old ones. Now I'm really considering not getting the E71...if only the camera wasn't so good on the Nokia's it would be an easy decision, but that's what keeps me in the hunt because of the superior multimedia features of the Nokias.

You could try using Mail for Exchange and set it up for gmail. Pretty sure it'll sync your calendar as well as your email.

Never used Emoze so cant really help with that.
