How can anyone make a statement like this without ever holding an E71 in their hands? So far we've seen a blurry picture and a photochop. I won't make a decision until I actually hold one.
The E71 addresses a lot of the criticisms with the E61i (such as flash, RAM, speed, separate services browser) so it is a worthy upgrade. As I and other have previously mentioned, the only negatives are the smaller screensize and keys.
i think it is related to nokia! i am using an E51 right now and i get the weird message every time there is voice mail. The thing is that it just never bothered me before so i dont see it as a big deal!
are you plugged in and charging the phone? Nokia phones don't vibrate while it's charging, for fear that it'll vibrate itself into a 3 foot fall from a desk.
Funny that the E71 was leaked, I believe, longer than the BB.....yet the E71 still has not been announced....I wonder what's taking so long? Maybe they are having production problems after closing the German plant
I remember this happening with another phone at Buy.com and most people ended up canceling their orders. Hope this one works out better since I just placed my order too!
Hey, let me ask you guys something. I have a grey e71 in the shopping cart at buy.com. Can you tell which version it is (-1, -2, -3) by the mfg part number?
It says 002F581. I am ,of course, needing a -2 version.
Still no idea when they'll ship yet
The E71 has huge potential. I do hope the keys are better than the E61i's. They seem a little flat and low to me. I do love the rubbery feel from whatever they use to coat them, but I prefer more movement, more of a definite "click" when pressed. The keyboard on the E71 pics look completely re-designed.
There are installation files for a few applications on the card that auto-install on start (e.g. the business card scanner), but most are available online, I think I only haven't seen the business card one online. I think every phone is coming with that card, but some dealers are trying to squeeze a few bucks by selling it separately, literally just a few dollars really (like the samsung i780 had 2 batteries and ebay sellers just took one out).
