nope, that was entirely based on the "detailed specs" they listed on their website. I might give them a ring tomorrow. you do bring up a good point though, since most everyone else has the e71-1 version and no one seems to have the e71-3 (stores or adopters). weird. anyone want to chime in who has a e71-3?
 
You know, this is insane; there are waiting lists and people clamouring for this phone with no real advertisement in the USA. Imagine what would happen if there was a real push and some astute marketing strategy behind it :bulging:
 
I buy a lot of phones from MCO...but usually they are not the first to get them. It usually ends up being x1367 or plemix that have them first. The price is pretty damn good though...Hopefully Nokia store will get it next week....Now I feel like a broken record, I keep saying this every week.

My icon for sending a text message will not go away. I've reset the phone, took the battery out but I can't seem to get rid of it. Any idea on how to do so?
 
Maybe someone can help me out, as this might just be a S60 issue, I haven't used an S60 device in almost two years (got the E61 when it first came out) and I've been using Windows Mobile and UIQ since then. I've noticed that S60 is really lacking in certain areas of call management/contacts.

One of my main questions is when I have two numbers listed for a contact, be it cell and home, whenever I call the house number, in my log - I only see the icon for the cell number. Furthermore, I can't even view the number that I called from the log, UNTIL I actually create a text message or call the person. I can only see their name.

Since there is no "search contacts from home" yet in my E71-1, I prefer using the log to redial popular numbers, rather than hit the contacts button and then type in the name, but as it stands, I can't tell if I'm going to call "John Smith" at home or on his cell, but it always shows the damn cell icon and only the name.

As well, when I use voice dialing, why does it only show one number for the name ? Do I need to add a seperate voice tag to JOhn Smith's home number and use that tag ?

Lastly, is it just me or is the call log finicky ? If I call a number a few times in the day, I usually only see one or two of those entries.

Sorry if these seem like stupid questions with easy answers ....

JM...you have used the BlackBerry Curve, haven't you? My 8310 is plenty loud enough (at maximum), and is pretty clear. How does the E71 compare?

has anyone noticed that time management under settings is spelled time mnagement? does anyone else find it harder to type on the e71 vs the e71x?

i just got the e71 and theres a huge difference between it and the e71x
