*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

well if it wasnt for wirelessgals stories this thread would be dead..

hopefully the NAM version comes out soon...ive heard rumours that fido may release it which would be great...

i was wondering how the size of the e71 compared with say a moto razor or nokia flip like the 6126? maybe someone could take a comparison pic?

is there anyway to make a picture stretch the length of the whole screen? everytime i set a picture the top and bottom bars are still theme related. its a small thing thing but it still bugs me.

It's just like a car...once you drive it off the lot you lose 20% of the resale value. :D

I'm holding out for a -2 myself....I was thinking a US N95, but I really prefer a QWERTY, and an unlocked Q9 is just too expensive.

so the us version of this is going to be available on the same day as the euro? Even though its for cingular its still good to hear...So t-mo is out of luck on this one even though it was rumored it might have their 3g bands?

How about the upcoming SE C905? I'm definitely getting that phone. ;)
As for the E71, I'm going to wait until someone here has it first and see. :)

well according to phonescoop, the E66 was just approved - or a similar phone like it. So it cannot be TOO long from now. I'm guessing Late June. Anyone remember when the E61i & E61 wherer released?

AT&T doesn't directly sell the E62 anymore, but I bought one on Ebay 2 months ago for $120. You can still find them a few places, for under $200.

I'm thinking that, for me, if the E71 doesn't have a T-Mo USA phone by the end of the year, I'll end up having to pick between:

1) see what's being offered for the first generation Android phone on T-Mobile.
2) buy a full price E71-2 that I'll only ever end up using as a GSM/EDGE phone on T-Mobile.
3) buy a used E61i

I'm guessing it'll probably be #3, unless the Android phone impresses me. But I'd prefer to be getting an E71 that does T-Mobile 3G :-}

Nope probably not, but I'm on T-mobile...so don't need NAM 3G....anyways, I'm going to wait for a NAM 3G version that's probably going to be available soon. I'm guessing Plemix and X1367 may stock some NAM 3G versions since they probably sell a lot to US customers.

Man that Steve guys is making fun of N95 in WWDC :eek: His new iPhone 3G downloads some 30% faster than N95 it seems! 16GB 3G phone for $299? Nokia has some serious thinking to do now...
