*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

September is the expected carrier release date. Dont knw abt the unlocked versions. I've been reading that the carriers here are testing the E71 already.

Rogers also carried the E62, and since the E71 has 850/1900, there's a high possibility it'll pick it up considering they picked up the N95-4 before AT&T.

San Francisco is on the list for the fall as well.

And, I'm kinda thinking I'm going to wait until near the end of the year to decide what to do (Google phone vs E71; as well as seeing if Nokia might have an E71-4, for T-Mobile, waiting to be released until after 3G is more widespread for T-MObile ... but that is _PURE_ speculation on my part, don't go around saying "hey, some guy says there will be an E71-4 for T-Mobile!").

Sorry if this has been posted before, but is there any way to listen to local AM stations on the E71? The one I want doesn't show up on the Internet Radio application. I've found a way to listen using Skyfire, but I was wondering if there was a method or specific application. Thanks.

Keep an eye on this Link

On two separate occasions since late Aug, Dell had it on sale for $180.00.

Sure it may not go back on sale again, but that what I was referring to.

Yes, as long as you get the model that supports the 3G freq that your carrier uses. The nokia desktop software has the slickest tethering apps built into it. You just click "connect to the internet" and you are done. By far easier than tethering a blackberry.

yes I understand that it sync through my works exchange server- my point is that everything syncs flawlessly w/o anything else needed (like the sent items)
I just wanted to know if MFE was able to sync the sent items as well as I know it hasn't in the past. I don't see the need for a another server host if we have one - does that make sense?
I was just hoping it would work as c.c.ing myself for every email of using another host doesn't seem the best way for me.

I just really like the nokia experience but, for my work purpose its not the best solution until there is a better solution

Thanks for your input- hope the text didn't come off the wrong way- I was just hoping for a solution with this phone - I should have been clearer-

I am sure there are others with the same question.

thx

E71 should be stunner imo if they can really keep it under that 11mm thin. Really been liking this new E series styling thing they have had with some of these past devices. Intresting to see how will that E66 look too.

I wouldnt do either. I would just site back and wait for the first one to get stock. I have had great service from both buy.com and tigerdirect.com, however I hate having to go thru the hassle of cancelling a pre order and the risk my CC may get charged. I did preorder an E90 from someplace (dont remember who) and they said they wouldnt ship or charge my CC until i replied to a confirmation email. Well, one day an E90 just showed up, about a month or two after I got mine elsewhere. I refused the package and eventually got the CC thing straitened out, but i decided then, no more preorders. As soon as someone has stock, you will know if here first and can then order.

The only advantage I see to a preorder is to lock in a good price.
