*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

Anyone watch Burn Notice? The E71 made an appearance. You can check out the latest episode on hulu called "End Run".

I've watched this show from the beginning and they started out way behind on cell phone technology. They used razrs and low-end nokias. They've caught up in the last few episodes.

It's sad when I know more about the phones used in movies and tv than the actors.

Been away for a few days.....any more news on the NAM E-71 yet? I may have to take a walk down to the NYC store this week to see if they have them yet......highly doubt it, but will try.

CTI NYC is just down the street from my office.....this is really tempting me just to get a Euro version. :(

This may have been mentioned before but I probably missed it. Why do all the live photos of the E71 have a different set of icons as compared to other FP1 phones. (I am assuming these E71s all have the default icons.)

very nice pics, now if only I can get some high quality pics of the white one. The black looks sexy as hell in your pictures!! This is going to be a tough decision!!

Er. Quite the opposite of that. APAC has the # silence key and no smart search contact dialing. NAM has smart search contact dialing and no # silence key.

Smart search is when you begin to type the name of a contact - a list will popup with any contact that matches.

Roger, really only you can decide which is best. But if I were you, I would get the E71 and the $15 medianet plan as opposed to a berry and the BB dataplan. I think device wise, either will be a good choice, but why spend the extra money every month if you dont need to.

OMG. That made my day!

Yep, I thought that that was what the problem is. But, when I create a new mailbox, it doesn't give me the option to select a POP3 or IMAP Mailbox type. It automatically chooses IMAP. Is there a way to edit that part?

It should show on the label at the back of the phone or type *#0000# when the phone is on its stand-by screen.

TYPE: rm-346
MODEL: E71-2 (for North American version), E71-1 for APAC/EURO/EMEA versions
