Pammy's hott!

I agree, there is nothing groundbreaking in the iPhone, but I do think it is very well done, and no one markets and hypes quite as good as Apple. What they have done is created market acceptance for a touch device with no buttons or stylus. I have had touch screen devices (Palm and WM and UIQ) and am quite happy to have a non touch screen.

But, I dont think I am in the demographics that Apples markets to.

@rapolu,

I have had few missed calls but don't then get a text message with or without a weird character so don't understand what is happening there, can you explain further so i can try and replicate it.

@ck37

Yes but if you look at the Keyboard it is flexible to give the great tactile feedback if it was fixed and solid you would lose out on the key travel and feedback. Really it should have a slim metal strip like the bottom to block it out IMO.

@rapolu is yours the same as ours?

Got my E71 yesterday and have noticed that the program ram is 68mb with no applications running, is that a bit low? My n95 8gb always used to be about 88mb with no programs running. Maybe the os on the e71 takes up alot more ram?

Big screen, no keyboard..... there's a tradeoff. I have used some slide down large screen devices with keyboards (landscape: Mogul/MDA, protrait: iMate PDA2K) but quickly grew tired of having to slide the keyboard out, especially tricky when one handed ops is needed.

It is plenty loud with its volume, but there are a few songs that did exhibit a bit of distortion at the highest level, but these are classical tracks with tenors and sopranos belting high notes for an extended period.

Overall the quality is good and I use the music player all the time as a morning boombox in the bathroom or while I am writing or web surfing.

Ahh, well that makes more sense then. I'm only slightly less heartbroken. :)

Now to decide about the E66 or the E71 -- I like aspects of both. I've never had a phone with a full qwerty pad before, and I find myself using more text/email than I ever thought I would... but I like the E66 for the ability to use it one-handed, which I don't think you could with the E71.

Plus, that whole "flip-the-phone-over-to-silence-incoming-calls" thing on the E66 just sounds swanky, if a little cheesy, along with the ability to rotate for landscape/portrait mode a la the iPhone.

Grr, choices, choices.

How can I delete the default nokia bookmarks/bookmark folders?

I have ~7 folders clogging up my bookmarks page:
"Download sounds"
"Download videos"
"Download graphics"
"Download themes"
"Download tracks"
"Games Downloads"

I imagine that this is a known issue, but I'm new to s60 and could use a shove in the right direction.

What I want to know is how easy is it to lock the device? I love how easy the iPhone locked. One button, you press it and its locked. I dont want to hold something down for 3 seconds or have to hit 3 keys at once. Just a simple lock.

I just checked the biggest Norwegian (and European I think) distributor. Yesterday their lists said the E61i was confirmed to be delivered around June 20th. As of today, the E61i has been removed from their lists. Wonder why ;)
