*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

Indeed and if they would be announcing it today it would mean they are doing it in CTIA that might suit for N810 wimax, but dont see them announcing E series devices...just prove me wrong Nokia!

I'm getting that on the Blackjack I'm using right now but I believe it's because I'm still on the iPhone plan and the texts are related to the visual voicemail for the iPhone.

ya, i have one. And I want to be able to use it, but havent been able to get hotmail on my iphone, so its being wasted right now. lol. Will this new pop3 info work, and let me have hotmail on my iphone by any chance?

The N95...and it's worldwide popularity has made Nokia arrogant, and that arrogance will eventually be it's downfall I predict.

Goodie, goodie, goodie...I can't wait!!! :p

hope you don't get brainwashed...
this is very difficult to do photoshop with phone in hand

Hey Carl....you know you'll probably end up getting this phone. The new search contacts feature from the main screen is just like the BB's. I can't wait to see what other updates they've put into place for E-series phones. I'm really hoping they implement category sync soon.....That's my only real big gripe with S60 for business....

It does so affect Nokia...business and professional users are the same as any other consumers in this country. They buy their service from a carrier and the carrier gives them the device too. My company isn't looking as Blackberry Curve versus Bold versus E71 versus Treo...they're looking at AT&T versus Verizon, and then asking "OK, what kind of devices do you have?"

Nokia needs to get carriers (at least AT&T and T-Mobile) to start carrying their devices and get that relationship going in order to make serious inroads into the US market.

Having said that, I personally will go seek out the E71 wherever I can get it and obtain it, so long as it has A2DP. Any device I get MUST have A2DP though...

I just feel that people follow hype..

When a device gets so hyped up.. People tend to be like.. "Hmmmnn let me see what the hype is all about"

I can't seem to remember anyone saying anything about boring old desktop only sync. How well does that work? Contacts, Tasks, Calendar and Notes from Outlook? I'm transitioning from WM, which obviously has pretty good support for all that. I'm probably going to go desktop for all of the above, and IMAP for email - no real need for an Exchange setup right now.

Still waiting for the E71 to be available from the networks... end of July/August apparently...

P.S. For those talking about nokia's financials - I wonder how much they paid to get their 'Tube' handset placed in The Dark Knight... according to the movie, it doubles as a portable sonar as well :) Awesome movie btw.
