What are the odds that if AT&T release it theirs will be a neutered p.o.s. like the E62 was :mad:

On the other hand, I am on T-Mobile so I don't care if AT&T shafts its customers (again). As long as it is available unlocked...
 
Yes for emails 2.4" will not do :( I think Nokia tried to keep it the width small as they received too many compaints that E61/i is too wide due to the 2.8" screen.
 
Mine will lock in under 10 seconds if I am very close to where I last used the GPS and the saved position is close. I work 30 miles from my house and if I try to get a lock at a location that's that far away it takes a couple minutes of standing still to get a lock. If I'm driving on the highway and fire it up it seems that it will never lock until I come to a stop. Once it has a lock it works great, but getting the lock is spotty at times.

Edit: And of course the E71 shows up two weeks after I get my N95-4. But if it really isn't going to be available until September, then I'm glad I got this. I couldn't wait that long to replace my aging E70-2.
 
I got tired of the e71 waiting. Will get a BB curve 8320 for the time being. Maybe after another year Nokia would have a lots of new e series to tempt me into changing my curve.
 
I don't mind EU version....especially it seems like no T-Mobile 3G variant is coming anyways.

Wonder why it has taken so long......I'm guessing they are probably putting all their resources in trying to get the tube out ASAP, so all other developments are slow.

What Jonty got one :eek: What happened to waiting for the NAM version to work with Rogers? I think I'm going to buy one today at the local NYC store. CTI NYC has it at a fairly good price right now.
 
@bachviet, you're complaining about a 2yr?! Come live in my country (Canada) where that $199 will be on a 3yr and THUS FAR no TRUE+FAIR Unlimited Data (Unlimited for WHATEVER YOU WANNA DO, no seperate tethering, cap it, strap it only to the browser, no 3rd party java apps on regular phones like my K850i, etc etc); meaning data pricing will cost you what the average 10 member family (2-4kids, parents, grandparents on both sides) spends on Xmas presents on a GOOD Economic year EVERY MONTH. You get why I'm tripping here RIGHT?!

If I'm gonna get screwed for data pricing I better have it on a phone I'm going to PURELY ENjoy and control! Not its shortcomings controlling me = iPhone.

PS Anyone notice the photos during the stream where Apple doesn't know the difference between a GREATER THAN ">" symbol vs a LESS THAN "
 
no i think that this phone is gonna be one of those quick releases, where its announced and then immediately available for sale. i think its gonna happen in june for the unlocked version, and the carrier versions a little later. and i think the UK and US version are gonna be released at the same time. who wants to take bets?? :buddies:
 
If anyone could chime in with any advice it would greatly be appreciated.

My sister decided to make the switch to AT&T from T-Mobile so she could have 3g and rollover minutes, involving the purchase of an E71-2. I backed up all the data from her E71-1 for her and transferred it to her NAM E71.

However, as of now when the phone requires a data connection, besides Wi-Fi, the only options left are T-Mobile internet. I don't know if its because the switchover between carriers hasn't taken full effect, or because the settings for T-Mobile had been synced over and confused the phone. Either way however, she has full 3g bars on AT&T, so as of now I don't know what to do.
