*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia 6650 (RM-324 6650d-1bH) NAM 3G 850/1900

Thank you very much! i-nigma works perfectly. I didnt do many tests but it was my impression that it is easier to read Datamatrix than QR codes with this software.

Can anyone tell me why MEdia Net shows up on my recent calls list?
I've attached a pic showing this.

I have not even pressed the MEdia Net button intentionally, since the first time I turned the phone on, not even accidentally :).

The nice lady at one of the local AT&T stores (not corporate, the closest one is ~40 miles away...) had no idea and recommended I call customer service/tech support. I used the chat feature on the AT&T website, but the only thing the person said to do was a master reset.
Which reminds me of a Microsoft Tech Support person that kept repeating, "just use system restore/reload XP" not wanting to figure out what the problem was.
The on-line chat guy did say that he didn't see any data charges on my account (which is a new account, switched to AT&T 3/16/09.)

If you guys feel that I should start a new thread about this, just say so.

Jon

P.S. I also will add the pic from photobucket that is larger than the attached pic.

WHAT BT issues?

Note, I haven't updated mine = still running the Oct 2009 version.

My 6650 BT connects/disconnects with any/every headset, car, PC/Laptop I've ever tried, streams in stereo whenever available, supports A2DP just fine. Don't see any issues :)

gsmarena reviews on the phone look good, EXCEPT there are tons of complaints about the volume level being too low.

That is the only thing that is holding me back from trading in my V9x with a week left on the 30 day return...

I hope the AT&T version changed this somehow.

I'm not sure if this has been covered before, but I haven't been able to find anything about it so I figured I'd ask. Is there any way to completely disable the touch keys right below the external screen? I never intentionally use them, but they keep getting pressed in my bag and opening various things that don't need to be open.

Anyone else notice that this phone has very good build quality? I've put this thing through hell and it seems to be pretty much bulletproof. Everything still works fine. Useful old tip: cover the water indicator under the battery with some tape and remove if you ever have to bring the phone in to at&t.

Can't give you any solution for gmail app, but there are versions of opera mini that have certificates that will allow for reduced prompts. I can't provide any links and downloading straight to the phone from opera doesn't get it.
Search and you will probably find more info on versions of Opera 4.2 with certificates. The problem is that Opera's software that ID's the download doesn't know what a ATT6650 looks like and defaults to the certificate free version.
Hacking and Magic Key will give relief from some of the button problems.

Well I got mine today (10 days after I ordered it). It came in a small padded envelope via Hong Kong post and appears to be an OEM Nokia USB data cord as pictured in the ad. Anyway, it works fine with the 6650, just had to remember to set the connection type to PC Suite so I could take advantage of all of the features. Didn't try using it in the other modes.
