Obama tells military: prepare for North Korea aggression

This is what I was thinking. Use of nuclear weapons destabilizes a region. China at that point would be more than willing to test their military they've been paying for and prop up a much more stable and financially viable trading partner in that area.

I'd be willing to bet that if NK used nukes China would take them out.
 
How do you guys think America would react to a nuclear attack on our troops or south korea? Would China back US led efforts in the region after such an event?
 
I think China would pull the rug out from under the Kim regime before any major attack on South Korea. I believe they must have a great spy network there and know far more about what's going on in NK then they care to admit.

China has been propping up the DPRK because they fear a huge influx of refugees pouring over the border, but that would pale in comparison to the disaster an all-out war in the Korean peninsula
 
I think China will try to stay out of it. They won't support us but they won't try to stop us either.

Overall I think this is a horrible idea. It's not in our interest to get involved over there especially with everything else we have our hands in now.
 
I agree about getting involved, but to be honest this has been along time coming and we have an obligation to SK (I would assume don't really know shit about the conflict besides whats been on the news over the past two years).
 
Who's to say it wasn't some other faction that used a North Korean torpedo to initiate a conflict? If North Korea really didn't do it, there's going to be a war because they won't apologize.
 
5th largest army bro and they're all ninjas apparently. I'm more interested in our reaction to a nuclear strike, I don't think their military would stand much of a chance.
