Nokia N95 release date revealed..possibly

http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/7175.html
They have it listed as December as well but of course have the cost at a $550 estimate. I know to take these things as a grain of salt and that was my original thoughts prior to starting this thread but I think it shows that we should hopefully have this phone in our hands before February and as soon as December

Any prototype out for consumers?

Check this out!!

The seller has a good feedback..

Is this legit?

Ive tested the slider on the N95.. Totally different from the 6270/6280 or even the N80..

The N95 is pretty solid..

Also it doesn't have that spring that can be compared to the 6270 or 6280..

So I guess It can be compared to the N80 but more tighter..

Prognosis negative : N95 slider may be tighter when the phone is new, but I'm 99.99% sure it will become loose in time (after sliding it up and down hundreds of times).

celluloco has it for $1748.88us and will be available in 12 days. wow. you believe those guys? i don't, and there's no way i'm going to pay all that money for it. if i do it better come with daimonds attached and a gun to keep it safe.

This is quite a funny post... if the N95 specs were in an E series device, it would no longer be an E series device, it'd be N series. Why don't you just pretend it's called the E95?!

Well for starters an E series N80 is coming out. What I mean is all of the features except the crazy camera. I don't care if they put some regular 2MP camera in there.

The rest of the feature set could be justified as ones that business users would use. The GPS could be justified as well as the MP3/AAC player with 3.5mm jack and even the 3D gaming feature as even business users need something to do on the subway.

I have an N93 and honestly don't need the massive camera, what I bought it for is the new much faster processor and snappy responsiveness. I dislike the fact that Blackberry connect software does not work for it even though it is basically the same as an E series device in terms of OS and feature pack only they crippled its ability to use the Blackberry connect software.

Everyone is different in what they want. I barely used the camera on my N90 and probably won't use it much on the N93. I will admit that it was nice to have a camera that took decent pictures on me at all times in my N90, but somehow I think N93 is a step backwards in picture quality with that heavy noise. I honestly suspect it is due to the new optical zoom lens on the N93. There were definitely compromises made to build that optical zoom in there. F3.3/4.5-12.4 is honestly pretty terrible and IMHO the reason why the sensor always operates at a high ISO and produces really noisy pictures. Even if the "E95" has roughly N90 photo quality I would be happy.

Maybe they can engineer a better lens for the space, but honestly the law of physics can not be broken.

Edit: I just looked at a daytime picture I took on the N93 my laptop and I have to say that it looks pretty darn good actually. I noticed it was taken at F3.3. So I suspect the use of even the slightest amount of optical zoom would immediately send it to F4.5 which is acceptable for daytime photography but will make evening and night time photography difficult. F12.4 is frankly atrocious, so I would never use that end of the optical zoom. In fact the best pictures under low light conditions are taken without optical zoom used at all. So IMHO the optical zoom is pretty much a useless feature. In fact I think the inclusion of optical zoom was what reduced the maximum aperture from F2.9 on the N90 to F3.3 on the N93.
