Everyone is different in what they want. I barely used the camera on my N90 and probably won't use it much on the N93. I will admit that it was nice to have a camera that took decent pictures on me at all times in my N90, but somehow I think N93 is a step backwards in picture quality with that heavy noise. I honestly suspect it is due to the new optical zoom lens on the N93. There were definitely compromises made to build that optical zoom in there. F3.3/4.5-12.4 is honestly pretty terrible and IMHO the reason why the sensor always operates at a high ISO and produces really noisy pictures. Even if the "E95" has roughly N90 photo quality I would be happy.
Maybe they can engineer a better lens for the space, but honestly the law of physics can not be broken.
Edit: I just looked at a daytime picture I took on the N93 my laptop and I have to say that it looks pretty darn good actually. I noticed it was taken at F3.3. So I suspect the use of even the slightest amount of optical zoom would immediately send it to F4.5 which is acceptable for daytime photography but will make evening and night time photography difficult. F12.4 is frankly atrocious, so I would never use that end of the optical zoom. In fact the best pictures under low light conditions are taken without optical zoom used at all. So IMHO the optical zoom is pretty much a useless feature. In fact I think the inclusion of optical zoom was what reduced the maximum aperture from F2.9 on the N90 to F3.3 on the N93.
