Nokia N93 firmwares are back and ready for dowenload!!!

My N93 is a monster now on startup. Booting takes 11 sec.....very fast.

Another small thing I noticed is this. When set to the default theme...and when playing mp3 and being displayed on the outer screen the visualization party is now blue, instead of being fully white.

The texts are bolder it seems and the outer display text seems smoother and bolder.

Try using it in a partially lit room, lets say with just a lamp. When you point it to the lamp it will be in color but when you point away to a darker portion of the room it goes to black and white. Atleast that's what I've figured out on mine so far.

well my phone is still working
just cant get past that part
so no way to get update yet.......

might try it on bros PC later

do i need to install PC suite on his PC before trying or just the updater??

The downloading takes most of the time....I had to download a 82.9mb firmware.
While I saw people with 70+mb.....so it will download a file of 70-80mb and depending on your connection it might take a long time.

The flashing itself take about 20min. (haven't really times it, they say 20 min)

But somehow this one went kinda like speedy, not sure if they sped up the process.

just did it

had to use my old PC (had it connected to my living room TV)
might had a problem with my PCs USB

everythings working fine now
need to check out the camera thingy

make sure phone is fully charged, and keep it plugged in the power. now also plug the usb cable and choose "pc suite" on phone. Do not touch the phone, not even a bit, untill it says the update was succesful. Close all apps.

Im kinda scared to do this myself too.

Should I put the phone on offline mode?

Do I need to be connected to the internet once I have the upgrade downloaded to my pc?

Sorry for the questions..

just ran the updater to check it (phone is still charging before i do it for real)

the instructions tells u to have the phone on general mode

and also u might want to have ur firewall turned off
my norton had so many pop ups asking me for access
and after it all the updater froze

yea i was thinking they would have a new firmware
but just the same old 1

was holding back on getting this version at my local NSC
thinking there will be a new version soon
no point in getting this version at NSC then need to go back to get a newer version

but now that the updater is working i can do it myself so thats why i did it

i guess thats the reason why they uploaded the fw i guess, but there are always stupid ppl who somehow thought detaching the cable or turning off the phone during the flashing is fine -_-*

it seems to be fully resolved,,,,only user error now as angel wing pointed out.
Checked the nokia forums, not a single report of a bricked phone, nokia really must have done their home work
