n75 and n95 are great lookin phones .....they look solid and a nice size.....unlike the razr and the over priced 8800 both are plain and featureless

No need to get so defensive.. lol.. I said "I think" and still do think they thought about what please the carriers most, given that they are struggling to get back market share in the US. Such factors would include price and trying to ensure max revenue for the service provider.

Do you think he fixed the Cingular store in the background as well???..now show me a picture with an N95 in a cingular store and I'll get excited!!

Yep, N75 was designed in coop with Cingular. Hence the so so specs (note: compare with what happened to E61 when Cingural got their way and E62 was born).. but at least we finally get an update to Cingulars S60 offerings and it should be relatively cheap.

Jeesh, folks here are touchy.. Yes I did read it. You said " The RAZR was a nifty idea for how thin it was but they made it too wide.". I just pointed out that N75 is as wide, but that I agree with you that its dimensions are probably very well balanced. I was not criticizing anything you said.

Oops, I meant my thickness comment as a good thing.

I think it'll make the phone feel well built, also, I hope the keys will feel great too.

The keys feels great!! Held the phone in my hand! Felt really comfortable.. It feels rubbery too. Might get the phone too as backup for my future N95.

The keys are the same with the Nokia 6170..

I think I just had a phone-gasm. The 6170 had the greatest keypad of any phone I've ever TOUCHED, hands-down. Simply poetry. I'm still on the fence over the N75, but that pushes me a bit closer.

Look at the E61..

Their probably gonna take the 3G off or if we get lucky.. Make it into a US 3G which is 1900.

Their probably put limitation on the memory size. On how much card size you can put in it.

Probably just make it Tri-band like what they did to the E61.. 850/1900/1800.

Their probably going to call it N75a or i.

Heheheeheh!!

Yeah me too.. I love the 6170 keypads.

I'm telling you guys.. The N75 in size is not that bad! The build is awesome too!

I put it on my ear just like making call. It feels comfy.. compare to the RAZR!

I felt the RAZR was fragile.. That's my opinion..

N75 is must grab.. Not the one from Cingular.. Unbranded N75!!

Just got FCC Approved:

Cingular's Nokia N75 gets FCC approval

Those among us impatiently waiting for the Nokia N75, Cingular's S60 3rd Edition clamshell with UMTS, might bide their time perusing the just-published docs over at the FCC's site. Among the goodies are internal photos (which should hopefully prevent an overly-curious buyer or two from tearing their newly-purchased phones apart) and external photos clearly showing the Cingular logo emblazoned across the back of the flip. Most importantly, though, a draft user's manual gives us all some desperately-needed reading material to hold us over for the few weeks until we can all march up to a Cingular kiosk and get the goods ourselves.

Absurd.

1. US 3G isn't 1900, it's 850/1900. Look at all the 3G phones currently available for the US (the two LGs, two Samsungs, and 8525). If it doesn't have 850 it won't make it to production.

2. All Nokia s60 phones have always only been limited by what memory is currently available. Transflash right now goes to what, 1gb? then it'll hold 1gb. (won't come with that much, but even unbranded ones don't)

3. They didn't "do" anything to the E61 to get the E62. It's an entirely different model. The same one, in fact, that Rogers (in Canada) released. That wasn't Cingular being stupid, it was Nokia realizing that in certain markets, certain features are more or less important than in other markets. Called good business.

4. I'm not understanding why you're so neg on this phone, and why you don't think Cingular's going to offer it. It's already been stated as fact that Cingular's been working directly with Nokia on it. There's no way both companies would waste that much money if one was just going to trash it. The difference in that and the 6282/N80 is those were developed BY Nokia and then pitched to Cingular. They didn't fly, so this time around Nokia started with Cingular and said, "tell us what you want."
