Nokia N75 is Now Available

I paste the wife's IM "apr or latest may" [not 2 minutes old msg]

I call to followup:
" ...Had been slipping since an intended Dec 06' Launch.
...Should come in somewhere between $200 - $300 [as we all can guess]..
...Apparently got held up for an physical / structural testing concern.. "

so SOON is not too soon, but I'm still encouraged, & hv no DOUBT about the veracity.

to me they are the same as I am tmo .. so both 3G are useless. forgot about the pop port though.. evertyhing else (minus subjective styling should be the same). In either case, neither phone has been released and one is not the fault of Cingular (though they still suck)

You said that you have a Cingular branded n80 proto as well. Does that mean that your n75 is a proto after all. As far as I know, upgrading the firmware on a branded handset is not nearly as liberal as a non branded phone. Are there any bugs you can report? I guess the buyer can pop into a Cingular store when its formally released and have them flash it. Anyway, goodluck and thanks for posting here on hofo as I'm certain a member is going to win this auction.....unless your lucky enough to have a nigerian bidder swoop in at the last second and bid 5000 dollars

That's what I thought at first, however, Bostonirishguy pointed out that the canadian GSM guys are using the same bands for 3G, so it COULD be useful.

I've just gotten off the phone with a very helpful (and confused to hell, poor guy) Richard from Business Care, he submitted my request and said I should receive it via email within 3 business days. We shall see.

I'm curious to know what is a 3G SIM. Is it necessary for 3G, or does it give you access to faster servers?

Enjoyed your excellent and thorough review of the N75. It removed any doubt I had about picking up this phone, even if I must wait till May or June.

greenteeth, what is fake about it? Looks OK to me. I've written the seller to ask if the phone, which he says is unlocked, has any Cingular branding. He hasn't answered yet. But if the N75 was designed for Cingular, as I have read, how could there be ten unbranded production units?
