Nokia N75 is Now Available

LOL, Hopefully no Nigerian will come at last minute!!! But, to aswer your question this is NOT a prototype! I have a few protos before, like the N80 That I still have and they all have the BIG Prototype or Proto on the back of the phone, usually they also say "NOT FOR RESALE" and "PROPERTY OF NOKIA".Also Nokia prototypes IMEI's always start with 0044. this IMEI is clean, you know, your regular 35*******. I have use the phones 3G network and is blazing fast it has a section to view Cingular videos that is pretty nice and as far as any bugs to report NONE that I have found. It handles pretty good and fast between menus and no "OUT OF MEMORY" problems here . I have only been using the phones data because I don't want to put any minutes on the phone, but I tell you this, this is a sweet phone!!! .
and guys if you have any more questions I will try to answer them all, you can post here or contact me through Ebay! Thanks XSELL4UX

My N80, which has the same (approximately) 40 mb of phone memory as the N75, came with quantities of apps like PDF Reader, Quickoffice viewers, VPN Client etc, all in main phone memory. The updates also installed them in phone memory. To free up RAM, I deleted them, then downloaded the ones I wanted from europe.nokia.com and installed them on the memory card. Now I've got 35 mb free and seldom have out-of-memory issues.

I have an unbranded model, however. I don't know how much RAM Cingular's branding and shopping links take up on the N75.

It didn't, and it's not going to. Some were branded back in the day as an enticement for Cingular to pick it up. I won't know if it has 1900 UMTS for sure until it arrives.

You're confusing RAM with ROM.

ROM is the 40MB and it's basically the built-in hard drive of your phone. It's space for you to store crap on, like apps, photos, etc.

RAM is usually at or under 20MB and is the same thing as the RAM on your computer. it's called Random Access Memory, and it's basically space for the processor to use to temporarily store processes. Think of it like a desk. it's the stuff that you're currently working on, and as you get mroe and more stuff, you make little piles here and there. Eventually, if you try to do too many things at once, your desk becomes too cluttered and you have to get rid of something.

I realize that's a shady comparison but it's the best I can do. That's why you get "out of memory" errors, cause you're out of RAM, not ROM.
