Is this true?
I have Cingular, and the data plan is THIRTY dollars/month.
Just so I can send one or two mms messages a month?
I just left my RAZR behind and switched to a Pearl because my employer paid for the phone "upgrade" - but they do not pay for my phone service.
I've also got no need for internet access.. .I'd rather check my Email on my PC at home or work (I'm a good typist, typing on a little keypad would get frustrating I'm sure).
The main reason I wanted the Pearl was because I've been sending a ton of text messages, and typing messages on a number keypad seems really dumb... the Pearl has a better keypad, and still fits in my pocket without a bulge just like my RAZR did (sorry, belt-clip guys, not going that route).
But, this "upgrade" means my phone does LESS than my RAZR did, which seems asinine.
I love the better camera, better screen, better keyboard.
And, I'd be challenged to return it because it was purchased on my boss's card.
I would consider a one-time $30 upgrade, if the service book for mms (and the capability) remained after I cancelled my data plan, though.
Is that true?
