I reckon they are going to let the 1198 sell on its pedigree rather than put it up against the Aprillia and BMW in 2011. In the mean time they can use the resources from WSBK to develop the 1198's replacement and introduce that in 2012, and I'm guessing its going to be a V4.
Time will tell. Sad, but not the end of the world. Whatever the coverage may be like, WSBK is more relevant to me than MotoGP, and Superstock even more so, although GP is usually more entertaining to watch, but not always...
