The demon looked even more rubbish-puppety than I remembered it, and the fight with the cat in the dark room was obviously Dana Andrews throwing a stuffed leopard around, and you can see the string pulling the parchment along the railway carriage, but it's still miles better than most of the cgi stuff that's around today!
It's one of my favourite films.
