[NEWS] R.I.P. Kids WB 1995-2008, Kids'WB.com Emerges April 2008

Well, I stopped watching Kids WB a couple years ago when they got rid of their good shows. I think it was time for them to end it. None of the recent shows are very good.

Well, I had to download some sort of plug-in from the site to make it work. Also, the menu wasn't working for me in Firefox, but it seems to work fine in Internet Explorer.

It's a shame that Kids WB is ending, though. But I don't get Kids WB in Savannah, so in the end it doesn't matter.
At least they're trying to keep the brand alive. I thought they were going to call this site under a different name back when it got a press release.
 
Tiny Toons was never on In2TV. Animaniacs, Pinky & The Brain and Freakazoid (which you didn't mention) haven't on In2TV since 2006 (or maybe early 2007). Taz-Mania and Histeria are the only Silver Age shows still on In2TV.

I think Spielberg's co-ownership of A!, P&B, F! and TTA may have a connection to their not being on In2TV anymore. In any case, I'm bit miffed that I can't get my Silver Age WB Animation fix on In2TV.

I know Pokemon won't be there (it's on Cartoon Network). I don't think Cubix, Tama and Friends, Ultraman Tiga, Ultimate Muscle, and Fighting Foodons will be there because 4Kids either cancelled them or their licenses expired (it happens, see One Piece). I'm positive TMNT and Yu-Gi-Oh will be on The CW 4Kids (don't know where all the confusion comes from), but the lineup isn't 100% set. They'll have the shows . . . they just have to find a way to schedule them all.
 
Pokemon's property of Cartoon Network now. 4Kids no longer has the broadcast rights to that, hence why the characters no longer sport their 4Kids voices.

Cubix is dead. The series was canceled after its' 2nd season on Kids' WB. When FoxBox/4Kids aired the series, it was already recycled reruns.

Ultraman Tiga, Ultimate Muscle and Fighting Foodons are likewise canceled or finished (Foodons' series finale aired on FoxBox).

The only one of these that sounds like a possibility is Yu-Gi-Oh!, and 4Kids seems more interested in GX nowadays.

I don't know what Tama and Friends is, so I can't comment on that.
 
Well, maybe it isn't, and that's why it hasn't caught on. And I don't see why it being made in Japan, instead of in Canada, would make any difference. The writing on the show is horrendous, which an anime sensibility wouldn't improve. Pity. It could be a great show...
 
Just checked out the new KidsWB website-really cool revamp. Its great seeing the Looney Tunes and classic Hanna Barbera characters on there. They even have a neat food fighting game on there as well.
 
Oh, the Food Fight game. Yeah, that was fun!

I saw the entire site last night and played a couple of games; overall, it was pretty AWESOME! (Just please change the site name, WB, so I can tell other peers at my school about it! ;))
 
Why does the background look like the body of Hector in Ozzy and Drix?

I can't wait for the Wizard Of Oz/Plastic Man shows to premiere.

I'm guessing that shows like Taz Mania, Histeria!, Johnny Quest (and the Real Adventures) and Johnny Test, etc. will probably come at a later date.


I'm hoping they can make the Vitural World exciting with ALL Warner Bros. owned characters that's for kids.
 
Just got this e-mail this weekend from The WB!, not sure if it was because I signed up for the newsletter or because of Facebook (since I did both):
 
I was just thinking...what kind of "look" do you think the block will have when it becomes CW4Kids? Will it keep the "WB" look (doubtful)? Have a similar look to 4Kids TV? A strange amalgamation of the two? Something completely different? Will we have the usual announcers (Jim Cummings, Joshua Seth, etc.) or switch over to 4Kids actors? What kind of promos could we expect? What do you guys think?
 
Well, this is it, the final curtian call for the network block that gave us alot in our hands, from Pokemon, to Spielburg's work, to even XS, but now, its time to say goodbye to the network that gave us... ALOT...

nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! ok i'm done. All I have to say is RIP Kids WB :crying: ! Anyways my thoughts on 4 k!ds tv taking over CW SATAM block is that it should be come a cable channel and get it over with so Fox and Cw can try the cartoon business over. I used to watch Fox Kids until 2002 when it became Fox Box so I switched to Kids WB now I have nothing. Oh well maybe I'm getting to old for cartoons. Well Scooby and Shaggy and Tom and Jerry better make it through this or at least move to CN if not I'll be mad. :mad:
 
Nope, nothing changed. 4Kids will still be programming both blocks. Though, no one really knows what they're going to put on each block (aside from the recent news of TMNT and Yu-Gi-Oh! coming to the CW).
