New TMNT Toon Direction decided (Update: Early designs revealed)

I remember reading that you could vote as many times as you wanted, so that's probably the reason. (Though, don't quote me on that)

And, as to why that pile of tripe is winning? I have no idea. -_-
 
Personally I think Leo looks a lot better with pupils, however since this is based on the 2k3 continuity I would indeed prefer without them.


I love the design either way though, I think its the perfect transition from CGI to hand drawn. Only bad thing there is this show isn't based on the CGI film but its all cool, great design.
 
Man I either need to get up to date with Mirage comic continuity or I need to stop pretending like I know that universe... at all. :sweat:
 
I don't know... Why do they need pupils anyway? I understand that they're working with a lower budget so the simplified body designs don't bother me... much, but why do they have pupils now?

And what difference is there between the 2k3 series designs and the FF designs besides the new belts, gear, color pallets and garments (Master Splinter)? I don't really see a difference in their overall designs.
 
Just be thankful we have the net too tell us these things. When the original series got toned down too 13 eps per season, I was waiting for a while in 1994 for the second half of the season too air. Little did I know, that the show had been cut down too 8 episodes per season.

We're almost spoiled in a way now adays with all this instant info ;).
 
Why on Earth would Serling return with the turtles? I mean, I love the guy and all, but why would he want to be around them any more than he has to?
 
I'm on that Power Rangers board. It scares me. The theme I mean. The theme scares me.

And, Terror, why are you even asking people to vote for the theme you want? Especially a theme not thematically relevant to the Turtles in terms of genre?
 
Don't think I've ever seen those other ones. While a Casey Action figure was made for the initial toy line (and irony of ironies, it look more like the original Comic Casey than the new series did), he wasn't that Popular in the series. Neither were the Triceritons (who I recall hearing only appeared once), or The Fugitoid (which never appeared in the old series at all). Considering that Casey is my favorite Non-turtle character in the series, that's the one real beef I have with the old series (that and the affore mentioned Mutagen Monster episode).

I'd love to see how the other characters look. I wonder if Casey will be extremely Blocky. his movie counterpart looked that way, and I could see them using that one to streamline. I'd aslo like Splinter to look similar than he did in the film.
 
Winning due to all those little ankle biter posers that think they're from Da' Hood. A "Hood" where the parents earn 6 figure salaries, and drive their kids to soccer practice. Almost wish it was rigged FOR #5.

Even the unused song from the Fox Box preview disk is better than that.
 
I'm still betting the poll is rigged and that 4kids already knows what song they're going with no matter what the votes say in the end.
 
My opinion oftentimes doesn't matter. But I'd like to go on record and say that I prefer the 2k3 design of April a lot more. In fact in animated form it's my favorite design. Yes, even the apparently reviled belly shirt.

Two season three episodes a season five episode, a season seven episode and a season eight one. Still way too few roles for Casey Jones who is the turtles biggest human ally out side of April.
 
I actually like it. Seeing the boys without Splinter is not something we've really seen before. He's never really been on all the adventures, but would almost always have a presence. Might be kind of fun.

My guess is that maybe Darius has something too do with this. In order too get too Cody easier, he tricks the turtles and Serling too somehow go into a time portal, and that's why Splinter decides too stay behind.
