Not sure if in the right section but....
I Just got Chronicals of Riddick from my local Asda and on getting it home found the DVD case had a red tab on the side it opens. It was some type of locking/security seal that refused to open no matter what I did (short af TNT). After a while I decided to use a screwdriver to try to pry it open without damaging the case.
Eventually I got the case open to find the tab had a plastic strip that extended under the disc and stopped the removal of it due to the 'push thing' (in the center of the disc) was locked by the strip not letting it press down also there was a metal clip to stop the strip bieng pulled out. The only way to remove it was to break the tab off and push it through into yhe case. Picture
I have never seen one of theses before and I am sure if they are all like this then there will be a few broken discs going back to shops.
Now is it me being a retard
or are these things a new anti theft device or even one that should never have been put on sale?
Your comments gratefull.
