New Spooks tonight....

It'll only disappear off secondary radar. Primary radar will still be able to pick it up. The same with a ship, unless it's some sort of stealth design which a container ship with its nice reflective slab sides is definitely not.

I am too.

I accept that Spooks is fiction and don't over think it.

The new characters , and Lucas' alternative persona of 'John' are all great.

TBH, I never took to Ros in the way others did, her face was just too over botoxed, and I feel the show has benefited form getting rid.

However a ship is a lot larger than a plane, is a lot slower and less manoeuvrable. In any case it would have been highly visible to spy satellites so there's no excuse for losing it - unless of course the defence cuts meant that there's no active surveillance these days and we have to rely on GPS on ship

Someone obviously remembered the story about the hijacked Russian ship that 'disappeared' temporarily in the Atlantic! They've obviously been watching Thunderball or heaven forbid, the Deep, as well.

The day Robson Green appears in Spooks is the day I stop watching it!

I thought that Spooks was one of the BBC's biggest overseas earners and that it would have a decent budget - but the cost savings in this episode were clear to see.

Oh I agree, anything with Robson in and i switch over.

Would love a few more episodes in the series but will take what I can. Great show. Last year we got a second episode on BBC3, but nothing tonight:mad:

Thanks. NOW I can see 'search' in the blue band menus above, when I'd been trying the box at the top of the page. Must remember.

Thank you, what a traitor! I mean he was involved in a lot of previous key episodes, always had a bad feeling about him though.

Is Nightinglae completely eliminated though? The previous series indicated that Nightingale supported the republicans and where weaiting for them to get back in even though the american woman agent was posing as a democrat?

I thought last nights show was good, considering the cost implications. I didn't see the twist at the end coming. I await to see the truth emerge

Yeah ok good point well made, USS VIncennes springs to mind, but the Airbus was indistinguishable from an F-14, so says the official line.

What it boils down to I guess is artistic licence.
