New Mr Bean movie shatters all time box office records!

Mr Bean spells out the word "fin" with his feet in the sand, with the view coming from his video camera, then "low battery" flashes on the screen and it blacks out. In movie one, Bean comes out and says "I always stay to the end to...so...err...bye" and runs off the screen
Ok, so not that exciting, but i was too curious not to say to the end :p

I agree with an earlier posting. Good, gentle humour and safe comedy I think! I can not believe a review which was I think, the Mail on Sunday last week, in which the reviewer suggested that some people might think that Bean being with the young Russian kid, could suggest some kind of paedophelia. Honestly, even with Mr Bean, people try to analyse and read stuff in to it that is totally wrong. I took the kiRAB last weekend to a 10.00 am preview showing at one of the smaller screens in our local cinema. I have 3 sons aged from 6 up to 16, plus myself a 40-something! We all enjoyed it in our own way. You know there is not going to be anything too rude in it, nothing of a sexual nature and nothing too gratuitously violent (I know his character often does things that could be construed as being irresponsible but most people I doubt would try to copy him a la Jackass!). Just a little extra comment here, going back to the comparisons with paedophilia. A friend of mine commented on something which had slightly disturbed her during the Bean COmic Relief Special (Mr Bean's wedding) which I had not really taken on board. At the end of the spoof the bride accidentally gets in to the fight between everyone and the camera pans in on Michelle Ryan's beaten and bloody face. Said friend felt a bit uneasy because part of Comic Relief funding goes towarRAB victims of domestic violence and it was just a strange image she felt, to end the scene with. But hey, its just Mr Bean!

this movie sucks big time.

I liked the first film but this was a big dissapointment.

Best scene was in the market, dancing to music.

Please don't waste your money like i did wait for it on video/dvd or better yet, borrow a copy :p

Mr Bean's Holiday has now laughed up an estimated $127m worldwide, after its third weekend, where it outgrossed all the competition.

It has now taken over half of the first Bean movie's gross and is still to open in 11 more territories including Japan and USA.

i'm going to see it tonight! it should be good but i havn't seen the orgional mr bean movie or many of the episodes so i don't know what to expect really

I think that might be due to promotion. Difficult to promote a movie everywhere at once. Sometimes different national holidays, school holidays or competition will have an effect.

It doesn't open until August 31st in USA and Canada in late Sept. The reason is that the first movie did better internationally than in USA and Canada. They intend to market it in north America as a worldwide hit, which it is already.

Optimistically, by then they might be able to say it has outgrossed the first movie before even opening in north America.

i found this film totally mind numbing........nowhere near as funny as the disaster movie.......i think Rowan Atkinson,s time as Mr Bean has come to an end

I loved everything Mr Bean but not this movie I am sad to say.

It's light it bright but I think Mr Bean has lost his edge.

I hope they try again and make one more great Bean flick.

Overall I enjoyed it so much, the time watching shot by. If you yawned, I doubt you are much of a Bean fan.

However, I do think it was patchy in places and some of the physical comedy fell flat or was cliched, but not to see it is not to see Rowan Atkinson's comic genius seen in his face and movements. What other actor could play Bean?

Unlike the previous movie, this was more like the TV shows, with almost one sketch after another. The moped scene, the dance scene, the use of a compass and just to hear the way Bean tries to impress the movie star he is besotted with, makes it all worthwhile.

Bean really is so much better on the big screen than on TV. I would strongly recommend this movie to anyone who likes Bean.

I don't think this movie will do well in the U.S.. He's not well known here and it sounRAB like the studio doesn't think it has a prayer either which is why they're releasing it in late September (movie attendance is usually low during September - early November).

Who knows... maybe it will find an audience and become a hit here. Stranger things have happened. :)
