New Inuyasha tv series coming soon...

They will have to, else SciFi Ani-Monday will yank that rug out from under them again...

I should probably mention that I think like half the fanbase is gone now.

It's like that new Beyblade show that came out. Yeah, there's always fans but the franchise (in this case, the manga) started to lose steam after a while and it's just not fun anymore.

Metal Fight Beyblade is different. It's starting a new story, new characters, and a new line of merchandise. Not like Inuyasha, which is more linearly driven and not as franchise-y (although merch certainly exists, it's not the type of merch-driven franchise Beyblade is).

Inuyasha would likely be some sort of a continuation, which kind of puts it along the lines of FMA: Brotherhood more than anything else. I agree that the timing is way off, though.

I hope that doesn't mean 200 more episodes. After the filler that was the last anime (and yes, I watched through all 167 episodes), I want to see them get to the ending fast & kill Naraku already.

If AS doesn't pick up this show, this means they're done with anime other than what they're currently running. Inuyasha was a huge hit for AS and if AS doesn't run this or Brotherhood this means we've only got Bleach.

200 chapters doesn't mean an awful lot in the long run. The new TV series can speed through that in a heartbeat adapting like 3 chapters an episode.

While I'm glad to see Inuyasha get the conclusion it deserves (it's not as bad a show as some people believe), it seems strange that it would be continued now. The anime industry must be really desperate, going back to finish a popular series that ended half-a-decade ago.

And for that matter why don't they bring Ranma 1/2 back? It deserved to have its last volumes animated too! In fact I would have taken more Ranma anime over Inuyasha, but there's no point getting too upset over it.

Still, will the fangirls come flocking back? Will a new generation of fans be born from the new series? Does this mean a continuation of the Berserk anime is imminent?

...

I know that last part came out of nowhere, but I want more Berserk already!

...Awesome!!!...I loved the anime, and was really disappointed in the lack of an ending,so this is great news!!!!
Hopefully, when it comes time to dub this, they can get back most of the English cast (whom I loved)....I don't really care how it gets released, whether it's on TV,online,or DVD only...

Give it no fillers, and then I'm good.

Wait, I've got an even better idea!
Cut out all of the manga fillers (my God!), and just do the relevant, good stuff.
Then I'll be great!

I wonder how much of the original series would be cut? After all, InuYasha did suffer from some heavy filler that made me give up on the series, well other than the time they let Naraku escape for the umpteenth time.

And yet I'm betting the fanbase of Beyblade is long gone now so don't really expect the same turn-out for the latest incarnation as to say Yu-Gi-Oh! with GX and 5D's.

Not sure how I should feel about this. One part of me says "Nooo! I'm sick of "INUYASHA! KAGOMEEEE! SIT BOY!" etc over and over for what seemed like an eternity and then a massive cop-out ending, but if this indeed finishes the manga.. then I guess it'll be okay. I was satisfied by how the manga ended to be honest, so if it's adapted properly, I can imagine it will be a lot more fun to see and hear than to just read. The ending to me, after all, was pretty sweet in the romantic sweet sort of way.

Then again, if they go the route of adding random filler that makes no sense at all, then wake me up when important plot points start. D:

I'll just tow the party line here. Potential closure? Then I'm all for it.

Filler in which Team Inu Yasha and frienRAB have to keep wandering around searching or examining Naraku's barrier? No. No. And no. I'll just wait until the final episode, see Naraku get killed, and see everybody live happily ever after.

Well the manga is completely done so there should be no need for filler. I would love to see this come to the US. I remeraber every InuYasha episode was really entertaining. So has this actually 100% been confirmed?

If that's true then this is good news. Even if AS doesn't pick up the second series another network should quickly grab it. Inuyasha is still pretty popular right now.

Oh yeah. For those wondering how the manga ended.

MANGA ENDING SPOILERS!

Kagome chose to stay together with Inuyasha in the past after finishing high school. Miroku and Sango are married and have lots of adorable babies. Kohaku made it out alive. Sesshomaru's left arm healed back and he picked up a new badass killing sword. The most important thing? That bastard Naraku is finally dead!
