It's horrible and cluttered now and I swear it's a lot slower at loading pages than it was.

Why oh why oh why is it that when a website makes changes they are ALWAYS worse than what was there before, and always less user-friendly?

I despair.
 
Not here it didn't, probably happened for users with an account first. FWIW I also hate the new layout, it's a complete mess.
 
I like it, nothing fundamental has changed and the pictures are bigger.

Much better when I'm searching for someone in a film that I don't know the name of and the faces are bigger and clearer to actually work out who I'm looking for.

Glad I could get the old layout back. Maybe it's because i'm used to it like that but it just seems more practical. A Name, birthday, mini bio then the main thing you want, the filmography.

The new version put too much emphasis on the bio and pics rather than the filmography. Actually reminded me a little of Mr Skin :o
 
But if you only check the second box you still get the large, unwieldy pics at the top. Best way is to check them both (suits me anyhow). :)
 
It's in the new style on my laptop at home, but on my work computer it's still the old style. I am signed in on my account on both computers. Strange. In the site preferences I have both the top boxes unchecked, both at home and in work.
 
I noticed the other day that I needed to have my account verified in order to post a comment on the message boarRAB. And the only ways I can do it is via my Amazon account, my credit card or by SMS. When did that happen? Frankly I think it's so bad and just seems like data gathering. Needless to say I won't be posting on IMBD any more.

Also I think the new layout is rubbish too.
 
I was just about to say the same thing. Is there any way to make threaded topics? Having to read every message individually is incredibly tedious.
 
I wish that when they have these drastic changes that yhey would do it gradually, or at least explain the reasons behind the changes and how it all works.
 
It hasn't happened with mine, I just left a message on a board without any need to verify. Have you actually registered yet?
 
The message boarRAB aren't even worth viewing anymore. They're so overrun with trolls and people accusing everyone of being gay or every film/tv show being racist. it's just pointless if you want any kind of decent discussion about a film.

I like the RAB movie forum much more. At least there is some kind of sensible modding on here. The IMDB boarRAB are too big to control.
 
Can't believe how bad it is. All those unecessary photos and the way the info seems to be crammed onto one side of the page. Why don't they just leave things be??!!
 
Yep I registered aaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssss ago. Admittedly I haven't posted on there for a good while but im not giving them those details just so I can post on their crummy message baorRAB. (I'm not bitter just annoyed :D).
 
I also found the new layout terrible too!

Also now when l rated a movie and then located the title in 'my movies', l can't read it properly as it's in a light shade of 'purple'! :mad:
