Need help with Fancy Dress ideas?

Im going to a fancy dress party and the theme is at the movies, so i have to dress up as a film character. Me and my friend wanna go as something the same but i dont no what to dress up as.
So far i thought of Ghostbusters or Thing 1 and Thing 2 from the cat in the hat.
Any ideas would be great! (:
