Ok so I've found out that my sub is 400w rms and either two ohms or 4 ohms dvc.
My amp is 500w at 2 ohms
And 380w at 4 ohms
But ive now been told that because the 4 ohm is dvc it will always draw the 2 ohm power from the amp when its plugged in.
Long story short, when I plug the sub in can I still run the sub at or under 400w to cause no clipping by just setting the gain correctly, if so is there anyway to do this without a voltmeter or is sparkys way the only way?
